I've just out in a Twelve hour lamb in the oven so I won't be able to cook anything in there all day as the temp is only 100.

Lol 😃😃😃

No my icing technique is not that good.  It's a smash cake.  All made of chocolate and filled with Lollies - kids smash into it and go crazy.  It was a trial for DS birthday

Up and done.

I followed you directions exactly CP. But...........

I had no buttermilk so substituted about  80 gms of sour cream for milk.

No stuffed olives. I could not believe it so substituted kalamata .

Had not enough Parmesan so used what I had  some Cheddar and Gorgonzola

No dried mustard and I had already used my two bowls so was cursing Hally for having three otherwise I would have ground some seeds. In any case  I used  a spoon of English mustard  which I added with the wet stuff.

Of course I had no chives but found some small skinny  green onions which I duly snipped.

Then I added a green chilli seeds and all. Well why not.

Might have been a little heavy with the egg wash but I could not find my brush so just poured the whole thing over the top and swished it around.

Ok I forgot the salt and thyme on top but in the end it did not matter as the bloody thing cracked up  on me didn't it.

42 minutes . I even had the right pans I measured it.

I told you I did it EXACTLY RIGHT!

Supper done.  Then for brekkie I made  scrambled eggs with Gorgonzola and chilli with salsa to which I added a bit of leftover dressing from Jaime's Crispy polenta chicken Caesar

Gert,  so glad you stuck to the recipe!!  Looks pretty good.  When it's cut you won't know about the crack.
Like you I stuck to a recipe today.  Used Coconut oil instead of vegetable oil in a Turkish Carrot cake I have just made.  Could see lumps of oil in wet mis as I tipped it into the baking tin.  We will see.

:D :D Love it Gert, you had virtually nothing that recipe called for except the flour and just look at it - well done you.  It just proves that recipes are only a guide to what can be used, you made so many changes you could almost call that recipe your own  ;D

I have just finished a batch of the Habanero / tobasco sauce (Stef's recipe).  I asked the greengrocer at the market for their hottest chillies (I can't remember what they were, but what the heck, to me a chilli is a chilli is a chilli - unless I am speaking to Gert, then I keep my mouth shut), but didn't quite get enough so I tossed in some dried chili flakes just to be sure that I was getting as close to the heat as I could.  Didn't have enough white vinegar so topped up with white wine vinegar.

It filled three jars (purchased from Katie's brilliant site which she mentioned in the jars and bottles thread).

I am about to put the contents of the sieve into the oven to dry off and will give them to DH to use as he sees fit (after I take my bread out, which is a bit of another adventure in itself).  I have no idea what the sauce is like yet as I don't particularly like anything more than the merest hint of chilli - will see what DH thinks and if it "passes" it will go into a couple of Xmas hampers - if it doesn't 'pass' poor DH has  lot of (possibly) hot sauce to get through!.

I also made some 'natural air freshener' yesterday.  It smells great and is incredibly easy to make - another one for hampers, I think.  Once again, bottles from "Katie's" supplier.  If anyone wants the recipe let me know.

Sounds interesting Marina, I'd love it.  You could post it in the non-Thermomix section.  Your DH must have a very strong constitution if he can eat something that hot, I hope he enjoys it.
