I only buy scallops with the roe. I don't know why they are taken off and yes they were really juicy. I used KIS confit garlic using some of the oil with butter to car alive the scallops before removing them to keep warm the. Adding them back to the sauce. The confit garlic gives it a much smoother sweeter flavour than raw garlic . I am loving that recipe but must choose a proper recipe to cook this week.
I will have to put Jaime aside for a bit and get stuck into Tenina's book.
Chookie waste not eh we have to keep thinking about throwing bits away and reuse them wherever possible. It always makes me happy to remember to do that. You too I bet.

Gert, I am coming to your place for dinner. I adore scallops (with the roe), and Chookie, I'm coming to your place for dessert.
I combined kimmyh s scone pizza scrolls and Hally's zucchini scrolls today by adding a zucchini to the scone dough,a nod topping with ham and cheese as I had 6 for lunch today .. I made 13 scrolls, and had to cut the last one into 4. I also made a coffee frappe from QFITT .
While the oven was on, I made caramel walnut slice

which we had for dessert with my honey macadamia icecream.

The bread turned out fine.
Here is the true icecream sandwich.
It is interesting eating icecream with sweet bread. We should have cut the dark crusts off but didn't really want to waste it.

I like the look of the green bread - I've never seen a bread icecream sandwich before. Maybe I need to try it.....
Kimmy, I can't believe that you weigh your biscuits......

You can buy this sort of icecream sandwich from street vendors in Singapore. Their bread isn't that bright though and they cut the crusts off too.

Yum Cookie. That's so different. Never heard of it before. How did it taste?
Yum Gert.
ES sounds like a lovely combination.
We had Cookies tuna bake for dinner which is pretty much exactly the
same as I remember my mum making from the nursing mothers cookbook, Yum and pizza bread for school lunches.

Amazing bread cookie.... Trying to imagine the sensation of fresh bread and icecream....
What flavour was the green and orange parts?
Made shepherds pie here from left over pot roast. 3 working men for lunch. And chookies lemon Belgium tea cake with rapadura, and a bit of wholemeal flour. Spread extra thin with blackberry and apple in the middle. Extra ground almonds, coconut, flaked almonds and 1 T more flour in topping. Served with custard very good. Will try to photo remains later.
Also have a batch of yogurt on the of, ready at 4.50pm today.
Hoping to make JD tomato soup later from tins.
Lovely cooking everyone. Especially the baking which I must resist apart from essentials and one dessert a day, which is essential too... LOL
