Ooh, I haven't had pierogi for ages. Looking forward to a recipe.
The buns look delicious too.
I've done a bit of cooking today in preparation for a party tomorrow. I've made a golden syrup cake, jelly cakes, sausage rolls, honey joys and Icecream

Chookie and julie buns look wonderful. I want to try scones in af. Made some nigella nuggets last night, nice moist chicken. But unfortunately cant believe how quick and yummy chips are!

Started off early this morning with a couple of batches of sourdough to attempt making sourdough focaccia so whilst waiting for them to rise I made a batch of Bron's
steamed garlic rice
so that I could make a
Rice & Spinach Pie
.
Next was a minestrone soup then I cooked the first of the sourdough recipes using
this
recipe of Chookie's. It rose quicker than the other recipe I found online and achieved what I wanted as you can see by the photo with the soup.
The second batch took over 4 hours in rising time alone, I pressed that into a tin and topped it with an eschallot/cheese/mayonnaise topping and sprinkled it with paprika. There weren't as many holes in the bread with this recipe so in future I'll use Chookie's recipe for the base and just the topping from the other recipe.

Busy Judy! All looks lovely.
I made the golden syrup cake from the forum (which was gorgeous!) for my dtr's friends coming over. Also the custard for CP'S strawberry ice cream (which is chilling until tomorrow when I'll churn it.)
A frittata from Nico's first book for the family (which was just so-so) and a small, healthy beef tagine meal for me! (which was good).
Feet up for the rest of today I think.

Such great cooking everyone.
Your crosses on the buns are so neat chookie.
I've made piroshki with bread dough and eggs and cabbage, really good. Will have to try again.
