Astarra you certainly did a job on that hand. It must be very difficult indeed to wrangle a baby. Is your mother able to help a bit during the day when DH's is not home?

Thank you all, I am somehow getting through... :-\
Gert, my mum is in NZ waiting on a hip replacement so cannot come, but MIL has come most mornings and done the girl's hair etc and taken them to school, then done a few other things too. I am fortunate to have such a great MIL!  :-*
DH is a wonderful help, but yes, is at work all day (most days gone 11hrs+). He said to me last night in relation to my injury: "I know your motto is 'do it once and do it properly', but this is taking that a bit far don't you think?!!"  :D 8)
Have a doc appnt tomorrow afternoon to see about getting some home help, hate the thought but if it is going to be another 6wks or more, I am maybe going to just have to put my pride in my pocket and accept it.  :-[
Have taken to putting the baby on the toilet after she wakes from her sleeps, since then I have not had to change any dirty nappies, which is helping but there are still the wet ones to do.  :) :)
:D

Astarra you never regret the things you do in life  but the things you don't do. Get some help even if it is someone for a couple hours a week to do some cleaning. It has nothing to do with pride but more to do with practicalities.

Yes you are very lucky to have a good MIL.

Astarra definitely take the help. You help so many people, it is your turn to accept some.

This morning I have made some of Chookie's Breakfast slice. It has just come out of the oven and I really want to try it.

Hello momoftwo, you have been busy posting this morning but there is no mention of you owning a Thermomix.  Please share with us your experiences with your TMX and what type of meals you make if you do own one.

I decided to try to convert my  favorite soup recipe for lunch today. I have been using this recipe for about 40 years and it is my absolute comfort food.  It was just as delicious as always but I need to tweak the cooking times and then I will post the recipe.  It is called Supper Vegetable Soup.  Just made with potatoes,  carrots and either leeks or onions,  I always add pearl barley because I love it. The concentrated veg stock was great in it.

We love soup too. This week I've made roasted pumpkin and vegetable soup as well as bacon, leek and potato soup for the pumpkin haters in the house.
I haven't done any baking for weeks as I've been running down my freezer. I have no baked goods left in the freezer so today I've made cornflake biscuits and used my new cookie stamp to make julieO's rosemary and walnut shortbreads. The high butter content of the shortbread has highlighted just how uneven my oven is.
I've also picked some limes today so I made 3 jars of curd using Tenina's recipe from FFS
