Thanks everyone.  We had a lovely night and our friends really enjoyed the food.

They were amazed I'd made the bread, which they said was delicious.  They also said I should start a catering company or open a restaurant!  Isi's crispy olives and the salted caramel ice-cream seemed to be they favourites, but they said they loved everything.

We do have lots of left-overs, some of which I'll freeze and the rest we will eat today.

Katie even if I left now on a plane I couldn't make it for dinner. Your food looks and sounds spectacular. Do you enjoy all the preparation?

Yes Cookie I love all the preparation - deciding what to cook, then I make lots of lists and of course I love the cooking  :D

I can vouch for that Cookie, Katie is so calm as she goes about her preparation for visitors and is so organised.  I wouldn't open a restaurant Katie but a small catering business would be right up your alley  ;D  I'm glad your visitors thoroughly enjoyed their night at your place.  Put your feet up today, you deserve a rest.

Nah I wouldn't do catering either, once something goes from a hobby to work it would lose the fun (I imagine it would be stressful).

You are probably right Katie, who needs stress in their lives.

Katie,  agree totally.  Have fun doing what you enjoy.  Enough stress in everyday living.  Lucky guests though.

Rum and raisin Banana Cake.  DH says best Banana Cake ever.  Must say I have given up making Banana Cake as they always taste the same.  This one doesn't.

Ooh Rum and Raisin banana cake sounds amazing. I have a banana cake recipe with raisins in that I make but have never had rum with it.

And the Cardamon seems to tie the lot together.
