That pull apart looks lovely Hally.

No cooking here today.

Not much here today. Some bread as we have run out again. I have been hanging out for some rye bread, I managed to get some rye flour today so it will be done over the weekend.

Today I've been experimenting with my sour dough starter. I saw on "Britain's Best Bakery" a baker made a ale and cheese sour dough loaf. It looked interesting so I've tried to recreated it.

I've used one of Chookie's recipes for quantities of starter, flour and liquid and have made a loaf using dark ale, a mix of rye and white flour, cheddar cheese and treacle. It took all day to double in size. I'm giving it a second rise and will bake in the morning. Hopefully it will work!

Katie, that loaf looks tasty.
Today I made pumpkin scones for lunch and then did some cooking to replenish the biscuit barrel. The kids wanted large choc chip biscuits like those sold at Subway, so I used Dede's recipe http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5405. I think they passed muster, but I've been told that they could be even larger. The milo was sitting on the counter so I found my quick milo biscuit recipe and made a batch.
Since the oven was on and I have a few ripe pears in the fruit bowl, I made a chocolate self saucing pudding for dessert http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10779.0;prev_next=next
