They look great Sue.   You've been busy Obbie.

Well here it is - dark ale, cheddar rye sourdough.
I'm not happy with it though. It's over proved. I've been reading Paul Hollywood's sourdough recipes and he does the first rise for 5 hours, shapes the bread and then gives it 12 to 15 hours. I think I over did it on the second rise though and it rose up then deflated.

It's tastes lovely and smells amazing. I'll have to try again next weekend and make it perfect.

Thanks everyone. It's tastes really great, but I'm not happy as I know it could have been better.

Today I've made root vegetable cake for the beetroot challenge, QJ's lamb hotpot and JD's chicken & vegie soup - won't have to cook for a couple of days!

Great baking ES. Our bickie barrel is empty. Thanks for the inspiration.
Nice loaf Katie.
Today I made a trifle for the children and a limoncello/lemon curd one for me.

When DH is at the football, Katie cooks  :D  Great effort Katie.

Hope the bikkies last the kids a while ES.  The large ones are monster cookies compared to the milo bikkies and they still aren't big enough  ??? :D

Katie that is a lot of food. Is your DH an Adelaide fan?  D he and Judy fight?   ;D ;D
Your bread looks lovely. I'm still trying to master the use of my Banetton. Do you flour yours?
