I haven't cooked eggs in my 5. I seem to just use the 31 for that. I've always used the basket. I also put them in cold water immediately, usually cracking the shell as I do it. I was taught to put them in cold water to stop the grey ring forming around the yolk. It doesn't seem to happen in the Thermomix.

I cooked 2 eggs in the Varoma (as per Bedlam), one peeled easily enough with no bits of white sticking to the shells even though the shells were in little bits.  The other one wasn't as good  :-\  Tasted good though.  ;D  Will try Chookie's next time.  :D

I made some SD crumpets today. So tasty.  Also did some Salsa to have with CC's for drinks.
I'm not sure if I mentioned that I made some Vanilla Bean Paste the other day. I now have to leave it for 2-3 weeks without trying it. After I had scraped the TM bowl out I made a milk shake. It tasted so lovely and vanillery.

Obbie, congrats on new oven. Have fun.
Today made mini grain loaf, later a mini fruit and nut loaf. Also mini tomatos and cauli soup for lunch and grilled salmon for dinner.  Steamed in  Varoma. Yoghurt.

These are the cherry tomatoes that I used for the soup.  I used all yellow ones.

Those cherry tomatoes look delicious Chookie - love cherry tomatoes, I eat them straight off the plant. It's always good if some make it inside for later.

Good to see you posting your cooking again Suzanne and it all looks very yummy.  :D

A lovely crop of tomatoes Chookie and nice baking Suzanne.

I made garlic & herb bread (the rest is in the freezer uncooked) plus some spinach pastries.

With the leftover filling I made myself a calzone for tea - I could only eat half of what was on the plate though.

Fantastic looking food everyone. I made Chookie's Rum and Raisin Banana Cake and some polenta in the TM5 to make chips tonight.
