Glad your nephew is ok Chookie.

I made a sultana cake yesterday, I don't know what happened to it but it fell to pieces when it came out of the tin.   I have been making it for years and never had this happen.  Tastes like it should, so we will be eating it in chunks. :) :)

They are more like a semi sweet bread roll. Very moreish. I had 3 scrag ends and then a whole one for my supper. Will post the recipe ASAP. I'm doing a birthday cake and a couple of other things for tomorrow.

Sounds like you've had a busy day in the kitchen Cookie.
Not much cooking of interest here, just using up veges in fridge and bits and pieces from the freezer. Been busy washing & packing and hairdressers today.

No cooking here as on a fast. Had family for school holidays which was great and DD did lots of nice meals each night. Back to cooking next week. Love the look of all your cooking for the last few pages.

I made a chocolate cake today for DH's birthday. I decided to put it in a 23cm square tin so there was lots for visitors!  It didn't rise as much as I had hoped, however I'll slap some icing on and hope for the best.
I also made some bread as we were down to our last slice.

Here is DH's birthday cake. He likes chocolate. We have filled the centre with peanut M&M's. We cut it this morning when friends called round.
Certainly not in Kimmy's or Maddy's league but ok for us.

A bit repetitive and boring here.Pastry to make Quiche Lorraine.Steamed potatoes to make Potato Salad.
