The Lavosh looks lovely Cookie.

Your meal looks delicious Katie.  I don't think I have ever used my Meat on the Menu book either.

I made a Lemon Yoghurt Cake during the week and it is all gone. :) :)

You'll need to make more cake today then Mab!

I have lots of those older style TMX recipes books like Meat on the Menu, most of which I haven't used. I should challenge myself to start cooking recipes from them.

Katie we should perhaps make it a new challenge for us all. Your cooking looks lovely. I've made Polenta chips a couple of times but they always get stuck in the frying pan. I should try some in the AF. Yours look lovely.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I made these today.  The sponge is for afternoon tea tomorrow and the ginger cake is for GS to take home for his school lunch box.

Today I made penne pasta with my Philips pasta machine. Some spinach, some beetroot and some plain.  Froze some uncooked and used some for dinner.

I love the look of coloured pasta Katie, does it taste different to plain pasta?

The spinach pasta definitely tasted of spinach. Some of the red colour came out of beetroot pasta into the boiling water, so it turned the pasta more of a light pink. It tasted different to the normal pasta, but I wouldn't say I could taste beetroot.

The colours are fantastic Katie. I love how the pasta from the machine freezes so well.
