I'm doing the lunchbox challenge too. Today was maple banana pikelets. This is the second "challenge" type thing I've done and I really like trying things I wouldn't normally have tried.
-just an idea for our next challenge, maybe we could do a lunch box challenge, it's that time of year and I'm sure would be popular on social media :)

I think it a great idea too.....  ;D

Today I used a new cake tin that has just arrived.  It’s a Nordic Ware Cinnamon Pull-Apart tin.  I used the included recipe (that I amended to Australian measurements) and used the TM cake release for greasing the tin.

The cake came out perfectly with no sticking at all and was lovely and golden all over.  I used home-made Greek style yoghurt in it too and I only used half the icing.

Used my KA stand mixer (first time for eons) to make it which made for a very light and lovely cake.  I was so impressed with both the pan and the cake.

I was only going to have a taste of it but it was so lovely I ended up having one of the pieces with my DH,  so no lunch for me today. The rest have been safely frozen.

This was a practice run as this will be perfect for a morning tea coming up.  I think a number of flavoured cakes can be used in this pan, I was amazed that the cake did indeed pull apart in the right spots, so lovely.

A few photos to see it from diff angles in case anyone else is interested in the tin.

I haven't done today's challenge yet because I've been out, but I do intend to do it, they sound yummy.

That pull apart tin has made a beautiful looking dish. Do you have a photo of the tin?

Our DD has 8 of her University friends here tonight so I made Nagi's crack bread.

Unbelievably easy and disappeared in two seconds. Definitely worth making for crowds.

Oh my god, that is amazing. I found something almost identical the other day that led me to the XXXX site for recipes, but this one is even better.  I MUST remember to try this, soon. My children will adore it.

Kat and spersephone, here is a link to the tin which shows a photo.  Have also included the recipe that comes with it.

Amazon was much cheaper, even including postage from the US.  I also got some of these Nordic ware cookie stamps which I'll be trying soon.  Both things really good quality.

Have to agree about the crack bread.  I made it last week when family were visiting.  It looked just like the photo in the blog and it went so quick.  ;D

You've been busy buying kitchenware and putting it to the test with great results Julie.  Very impressive.
