Judy, Marina is correct. Cumquats are a small citrus fruit. Unique in flavour. Quite a pain in the neck to make jelly from as they have lots of tiny pips.
What you have a loquats. I have never made jam from them but I am sure you can. They are not often seen in the shops so enjoy those that were given to you.
Today a lady that I have been giving some home made Tahini Biscuits to, gave me a beautiful bunch of Lilly of the Valley. I have not been able to grow this so it was extra special.

I love loquats Judy, however by the time you take the skin off ( it can be yuk) and leave the seeds there sometimes isn't much left.

They certainly do Judy.

I made some SD bread today' it was more successful than the last one. I also did a bread recipe from Tenina's new calendar. The taste is very nice, but I think I may tweak it a bit next time.
Made a cherry and almond fruit loaf too.

Just a spice rub for me today - to put on the swap table at Woodend market this weekend - in case I can make it up there to join Chookie and Ral.  Hopefully pre-prepared food will be acceptable on the table, if not DH is in for a few very interesting creations in the near future as I use the rub up!

With leftover roast lamb I made eight little pies in my pie maker.Still have some meat left to use up.I also made two jars of Citrus Curd for gifts. One for a friends birthday tomorrow and the other a thank you gift for a friend who gave me two huge bags of apples, picked from her tree. Steamed some baby new potatoes, carrots and brussel sprouts to go with the pies.
