Yesterday I made wild garlic soup, using the recipe in the latest UK Thermomix HQ newsletter recipe. DD1 and I weren't very keen, but DH liked it. Today I made porridge for breakfast (using the tip given a while ago to use min speed 3 to avoid it catching on the bottom) and asparagus risotto for dinner. I'm going to try to get back into the swing of making bread tomorrow. I've gone from making it pretty much every day to not making it at all for months It's nice to be gradually getting back on track, though. Hannah is 9 weeks old now, so baby food is starting to loom on the horizon. I'm quite looking forward to it this time around - I'm armed and dangerous with my tmx
The pastry I made in the TM and because it has a long chill time it didn't shrink at all. When cooked it's quite pale, but it's so light and yet quite stable. The pastry was the nicest I think I've worked with. I made enough to make 4 of these 10cm x 3cm deep tarts and also line a 20cm tart tin which I've put in the freezer to make a Quiche Lorraine at a later date. Was so happy how they turned out and they tasted wonderful.
