Did you walk into a web astarra? You would have heard me screaming from Adelaide if a spider ended up on my face!  I hope you look beautiful again very soon.

I finally cut into a whole pumpkin tonight and made freezer packs of cookie’s Macaroni cheese with pumpkin. DD may end up with a couple of containers when I see her this weekend. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5686.0
I didn’t have any goat’s cheese but it still tasted delicious.

Not much cooking here since the weekend....been at the hospital with a spider bite to my cheek, so that was no fun  :'(
Home again now, swelling seems to be subsiding thankfully :)
Ouch Astarra! I hope you are recovering well :-* :-*

Sorry to hear of your bite, Astarra.  Hope it continues to improve.

Today, if I am feeling particularly enthusiastic, I might just boil an egg!

Just going back a few days , for Christmas we had a change no Turkey but DM and I cooked three  roast Chickens . With roast potatoes and sweet potato in duck fat and gravy  . The best ham not salty at all with honey mustard. Lots of veggies as well . Dessert was flaming plum pudding with brandy butter , plum pudding ice cream this is the best and a few raspberries . Sounds simple but all was delicious.
To full to have much dinner that night  so smoked salmon on bread .

Overnight SD tonight. One with olives.
Made cottage pie with leftover turkey.  Very nice and will do 2 meals. Made coleslaw to go with it. Sounds odd but good.
Made yoghurt in yoghurt maker.

Sorry to hear about the spider bite Astarra, I hope you recover quickly.

No cooking here.

The Tivoli Road Baker book has several different things pertaining to bread, that I want to try.
Today made a SD olive loaf and used Black olive tapenade as well as green olives. This certainly enhanced the olive flavour.

Prior to being kneaded in.

Astarra that must  have been dreadful. You sound as though you were very brave. I hope things continue to improve for you.

Chookie that looks yum. The Tivoli Road Baker book was in my Christmas gifts. I received a few lovely books and don't know where to start.

This morning I roasted the rest of my whole pumpkin left over from yesterday, diced some for risotto and pureed the rest for soup, cakes or dips.  It now takes up much less room in the freezer than it did in the fridge. Tonight I decided to defrost the main freezer whilst doing a new inventory, I didn’t realise how much it needed defrosting.

Yesterday I peeled lots of garlic in the TMX. Some of the cloves were very small but it still was successful.I then mashed them with a little olive oil and  froze the pulp in snack bags. I need 12 small bags to last the year. I did 6 yesterday and will do another 6 when I harvest the next lot.

Probably no cooking today. Yesterday I completed a SD loaf from Sophia of thermomixbakingblogger fame. It was an overnight no knead loaf.

How did it look and taste once cut cookie?
Great idea to grow, harvest and store a year’s supply of garlic Chookie.  I make Tenina’s caramelised garlic paste and freeze it in small clumps before bagging it up.  It is so handy to just grab a clump when needed.

Cookie , love the look of this loaf. Must look at the recipe.
Made custard in TMX to have with Xmas Pud. Think I added a bit too much Brandy.
