Your bread rolls look good Chookie.  A clever idea to use the crumpet rings.

I have made some vegetable soup using up some sad veggies from the fridge and some mushroom sauce to go with the meat patties I made for dinner.

Made Portuguese Custard Tarts for morning tea tomorrow.  Burnt the second lot.  Ral says, don’t worry, I will eat them. They actually don’t taste tooooo bad, but can’t offer them to visitors.
Picked the first of the Broard Beans today. Small whole ones.   Steamed them to have with Reheated Roast Beef.

Nice baking Chookie, your egg rings are a great size for rolls. Mine would only make dinner rolls
Made 3 more jars of orange & carrot marmalade for the nursing home trading table early in December.

Judy, is that Marmalade based on the Lemon and Carrot recipe that I posted?  If it is, then the recipe is probably 50 years old.

Yes Chookie, I was given a bag of oranges which weren’t very sweet so they are perfect for marmalade. Last night’s batch was perfect, the first lot was thicker but still quite OK.  Your recipe is the only one I’ve ever used. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2349.msg25157#msg25157
Once the sugar was added I cooked it for 20 minutes on 100 then 15 minutes on varoma. It looked runny but set up beautifully.

Judy, that is wonderful.  I still make this recipe when we are running low on Jam as it is a sweet Marmalade.

I copied it from you Chookie. You posted one day that you had made a loaf with I think 450g flour, 2 teaspoons yeast, 50g chia and 50 g oatmeal. I THINK it was 350g water. Knead for 4 minutes and put into a cold oven and cook for 50 minutes. I THINK it was a conversion from Whyisthereair.. I’m not positive of the quantities as I don’t have the recipe with me.
I love it and the rest of the family don’t mind it. It’s a lovely bread if you need something quickly.
