Yesterday I made Quirky Jo's homemade mayo. It is the best mayo I have ever tasted and was so simple to make.  It was perfect with our salmon cakes and garden salad.  I put a teeny bit too much mustard in it (a bit too tasty for the kids), but other than that it was perfect!!!

Thanks Cookie and JD,  but just as well I did all that cooking,  because we had to go to Melbourne again today.   DH said he would like chicken soup for tea.   I had made chicken stock out of the bones from last nights roast chicken and had left over cold roast chicken.   So I made my cream of celery soup recipe, with the stock, and at the end stirred in chopped up cold chicken and some peas and corn,  also left over from last night.  Topped with parsley and chives from the garden.   I have carried on a bit with this description as it was  really nice and will be making it again.

It would be a nice base for any soup I think Chookie.

I made pumpkin soup yesterday before my machine seized up on me and had some for tea tonight.  Just threw in pieces of chopped up pumpkin (250g), sweet potato (170g), normal potato (180g) and 130g red onion, added vegie stock and a litre of boiling water, cooked 30 mins/100o/speed 1, added some coriander to get rid of it plus 2 heaped tablespns cornflour mixed with some water, blitzed it and it was delicious.  Was thin when first made and I made a note to myself to halve the water next time but overnight in the fridge it thickened up nicely.  Had just a slight Thai taste with the coriander.

I love that about our machines. You can have something on the table in no time at all. Poor Judy. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Glad you liked it, Chelsea - I love it on salad as a dressing, as well as on sandwiches, and I even use it as a dip with cornchips since I can't have dairy  :)

The TM got a workout today! Stepfather's birthday so we had 10 people round for a bbq dinner. I made a pesto dip and herb/cream cheese dip, beetroot salad, asian style salad, and the totre caprese for dessert with choc sauce in it (WOW that cake is GOOD!). Was a resounding success :)

Tenina's Persian Power bars look wow.

Tenina, imagine having 4 bowls at home...............but then it is more washing up!

Did you end up making them? And I seriously couldn't function without 4 bowls...and I could use another TM all together to be honest!  Just too much to cook and too little time!

Got my TMX fix today down at DD2's place and made Isi's Cinnamon Cookies and Riv-mum's Butterscotch Cookies from her blog
http://thermotalk.webs.com/apps/blog/entries/show/2505114-butterscotch-cookies-converted-for-tm - both very quick and easy to fill the biscuit barrels again.

No Tenina, haven't made them as yet. Sorry. That was a good reminder for me.

I can imagine how it must be needing 4+ bowls. Now I have my second bowl I really appreciate it.

I've made cauliflower soup and farfallina's daisy bread this morning and plan on doing a quiche with sour cream pastry for dinner and something else which I hope to find on this forum. (I'll know it when I find it!!)
