Had a bit of a spicy cooking day today.  I made a pork tikka meal, not from the TM Indian book, but from a book that I've only just bought.  The flavours were so good.  I used the TM to make the marinade and sauce, but the cooking of the meal itself was done on the stove top.  Was just as well as it was kept busy with other things, both bowls getting a work out.

Also made the TM Bombay Potatoes to serve with, very nice and will make again.

And I made Mango Chutney using some frozen mango cheeks from the freezer that I froze at the end of the last season, very nice and the first time I've eaten it, so can't compare to anything, but went perfectly with our curry.

Finally I made Tenenia's naan breads, half recipe which still made 8 doughs, 6 of which have been frozen for other times.

Thoroughly enjoyed by DH and  I.  ;D

I just found it Julie.  Yummo!!!  You haven't let me down after all!  ;)

I made an apple berry crumble with my boys on Thursday afternoon.  I combined two of my favourite crumble recipes (Quirky Jo's apple berry custard crumble recipe and Bron's yummy apple crumble recipe).  It was so yummy.  :)

Today made Isi's Mini Balls of Berlin,  well, small doughnuts.   The grandchildren were here and they always want to cook.   They know where their aprons are kept,  and the stool that they stand on at the bench.  My job is to find something suitable to cook.  TMX mixed the dough and it rose in the bowl.   Did I mention that I forgot to put the yeast in ? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[.Added the yeast in a bit of water and a little flour and rekneeded for 2 mins.  Kids flattened the dough out and cut out the doughnuts.  I cooked in hot oil,  they rolled in sugar and squirted the jam in with a sauce bottle.  Every one ate them.

The recipe made 40 huge cookies Chookie so I will cut the recipe down by half, make another batch to get my conversion down pat then post the recipe another time.

Will never be a bread baker like you though :P :P

No CP63, you won't have to wait long as I have made 1/2 batch this morning to give to my DD and test out my conversion again. Having lunch then will post it for you.

Thanks JD, have printed off the recipe. Although I really should be working I have made some stuff that I normally don't - 3 batches of Self Raising flour, Rice Flour, Baking Powder, Coconut Milk (for Tapioca Fruit Cereal), and finally Chookies Roast Vegetable Bread. I made the sweet version although I really wanted to make the savoury, but I had already tipped the honey in before realising  :D
