I made a huge batch of Tenina’s granuesli from For Food’s Sake today, I’ve decided I like her recipe the best.

The Vegan Chcikpea Satay Curry that Cookie passed on to me last week.  It is delicious.  Thanks Cookie.  I also made some eggplant 'meatballs', I meant to make them last week but ran out of time.  They were OK, I enjoyed the recipe directions more as whatever translation program the author chose made it utterly delightful to read.

The curry is delicious Marina. I make the full amount and then we have another serve to pop in the freezer for later.

Judy I love that Granuesli too.

I made some real squashed ant or dead fly biscuits today. The pastry got a bit gooey rolling it out in the heat but I nibbled a small bit and they are delicious.

Made chocolate crackle slab.  It has rice bubbles, Lindt chocolate, seeds and dried fruit.  Delicious. All for gifts. Also Portuguese Custard tarts. Ral got 1, rest given away.

Poor Ral. I made Chow Mein, didn’t like it so threw it out.  I bought a small amount of shaved ham to try and managed to eat that with salad ingredients.

Cookie, I also love those squashed fly biscuits.
As the weather is turning cooler, all I want to cook is soup. With Ral on low fibre diet I am having trouble getting enough veggies into our meals. Soup seems an easy way to do this.
Yesterday we had Podiatrist appointments, Needed something to bake while out. . I had a half leg of lamb so put it in a covered oven dish, on a rack.  I surrounded it with ratatouille veggies. Potatoes on top. Popped into oven, 120 degrees for 5 hours. Perfect. The lamb was amazingly tender.

It sounds perfect Chookie. No cooking here today apart from dinner.

I cut up another batch of tomatoes & onions for more chutney.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Made another batch f SD discard crackers, which are all gone now. DH and DD love them. I added a bit of chilli to these. I’ve fed up the starter to make another batch tomorrow.
I had to buy a small box of sultanas this week as it was all I could get. There was a recipe on the back for Sultana Anzacs. I made a batch but cooked them a little too long and they are very dark. They still taste nice.

Cookie, thanks for the recipe for the SD discard crackers. I found a similar recipe on an American recipe blog.
I finally made the Apple cake. It was very easy and a  very plain recipe. As it contains 4 large apples it is mostly Apple when baked with very little cake. I like this. Unfortunately Ral doesn’t like Apple Cake .
