Thanks Chookie. It was great getting back into the kitchen. Lately it's pretty much just been standard meals and nothing exciting. So the baking has been good.

Today I made Beef & Beer Casserole which ended up as a risotto, Beer bread dough made into rolls but I wasn't happy with them so they are now breadcrumbs and another new ice-cream using condensed milk and evaporated milk which is looking and tasting good after it's second whipping.  Can't wait to try it tomorrow.

*** New bake ware approaching........ warning for Judy ***  ;)

I made Trudys orange muffins, but made them into jaffa  muffin tops instead.....ready Judy......using a muffin top tin from Woolworths

Using an icecream scoop, flatten the mix around the base of tray (little more than I have pictured here)

Jaffa muffin tops.....the best bit of the muffin  :D Crunchy out side, soft inside.

.........EAT CAKE!

maddy these look great. Thank for the photo.   I have been resisting buying one of these trays as i know who will eat most of them.   Today i cooked a loaf of' no fuss' bread and added soaked grain and LSA to mix.  Looks and smells good. (that is why i am here typing). ;D  Made pineapple jam out of a pineapple that was too tart to eat.  Cleaned out freezer and found frozen rolls of lemon shortbread, for biscuits.  Cooked these up. Will cook Chow Mein for tea.

Does anyone remember the Seinfield episode about Muffin Tops? I never watched much of it, but I happened to see that one and it's always stuck in my memory.

Ohhh Chookie, haven't had Chow mein for ages.... might have to look at that for later in the week.

Well it was actually Nan & Pops 60th Wedding Anniversary - the maths wasn't adding up for me when I started thinking about it this morning.... Anyway lovely to see the extended family again.

And when I walked in the door tonight I was greated by the delicious smell of a pot roast that had been gently cooking away in the slow cooker - what a lovely surprise to be greeted with when I forgot that I had put it on before leaving this morning  ;) :D :D :-))

Gosh everyone has been so busy.

ILB how wonderful for your grandparents reaching 60 years of marital bliss. What an achievement. Congratulations to them and you on all the cooking.

Maddy I love your muffin tops. I have seen the tins but so far have been able to resisit. But then they probably contain less than a muffin, so they would be less calories. Maybe. :P
