That's all he can do Mandi, be there for his friend and his friend will never forget it either.  Sounds like you have a son to be very proud of.  :-*

Dede,  that is a hard thing for ALL you guys to cope with.
Made another loaf of Beer Bread with Cheese and herbs.  Added a little rosemary and some green olives as well ,  this time.  Also made Mayo.  from EDC Book.  Cooked rice , absorption method in TMX.

Dede the sadness felt by all in this situation is so tangible - my thoughts are with you in dealing with the effects on your DS.  :(

Thanks everyone for the comments. It definitely makes you appreciate life more thats for sure.

As for cooking I have not been doing alot this week except the evening meal as I have been really busy with Picture framing and running my kids here there and everywhere. School holidays are coming up starting Friday and I'm looking forward to no routine for a couple of weeks.

I had a go at converting one of my fave recipes for the famous hungarian papricas. It was nice but nowhere near as nice as my stove version so I need to fiddle with it a bit more, I am still learning how my Thermie works.

That is a beautifully decorated cake, Monica.  It always seems a shame to me that these superb creations are made to be, ultimately, cut up but I bet they are enjoyed by everyone.

Ok so I had a Thermie day today  :D.
I made two apple pies one for us and one for a friend who had an op last week.
Two lots of bread (is the weekend)
I made a vegetable risotto
Chicken paste
and Tomato sauce
Writing al that seems insane for myself but with the Thermie is oh so possible. My Thermie is one week old tomorrow I need to celebrate  ;D

I second that, that's one superb cake Monica. 8) Were each layers different types of cake? When my DD got married she didn't want a traditional fruit cake so she chose a three tier cake of chocolate, then lemon and then chocolate again.
