I second that, that's one superb cake Monica. 8) Were each layers different types of cake? When my DD got married she didn't want a traditional fruit so she chose a three tier cake of chocolate, then lemon and then chocolate again.
Thank you yes all layers were diferent the most spectacular one being the bottom one which was polystyrene  :D
I much prefer tall cakes at weddings, the small ones tend to look bad in photos so I convince every bride to faking it!!
The second biggest tier was a very rich chocolate truffle cake
Next Luscious Lemon
and top traditional fruit that will freeze until the 1st christening.

Your cake looks lovely Hally.  How did you get it into the shape of a football - is it a special tin perhaps?

Monica, you are a very talented lady, beautiful wedding cake.  Gosh, back in my day you had 2 layers, how things have changed.

WoW Monica & Hally.....your 2 clever cookies  8) gorgeous cakes!

Hally....you didn't need that cupcake course, looking at the cake you made!  :)

I have only just started the first step of vanilla frosting for my girls Birthday cupcakes for tomorrow  :-\ think I'll be baking well into the night!
She requested the fudgey chocolate almond cupcakes (her favourite).....they are totally indulgent, so I will convert it tonight for the TM, and hopefully post tomorrow  ;)

great cakes girls....certainly are some very talented people on this forum  :)

today i made (and late last night into the early hours!) mini chicken quiches, crumbed curry chicken bites, pizza scrolls, a huge batch of potato mash (non thx) and just cut up some organic tomatoes with some mozzarella (buffalo) and fruit salad for dessert plus the cake and cupcakes...huge day lots of fun and now DS is playing with all his new toys..exhausting and worse thing is that DD has hers in a few days (will be painful when i have to have parties one weekend after another lol!!) Did face painting, pin spiderman on his web, egg and spoon, tag and all sorts of traditional bday games..the kids here love it and arent used to all that...started at lunch and finished early evening...bday parties here are just for the cake and for about 2 hours max!

Oh Frozzie the most important person in my life( delicious nephew Luca) is celebrating his 4th birthday at the end of this month. I was talking with my sister and we want to make all the party food in the TMX of course, so far we have mini pizzas, baked cheese balls and the fabby KFC chicken strips for Chookie's fab recipe.
I like the sound of your mini quiches and curry bites, are those recipes here on the forum?
I cannot tell you how very grateful i am for all of you guys who are uploading and reviewing recipes. I hope one day as I get more confident I will be able to contribute.
Oh and thank you for your sweet words about above cake. you re very sweet. xx
