I went to make the cheddar flavoured butter (FFS) to go on our steaks tonight, but realised I'd used up all my worc sauce,  :-\ so thought I'd make some,  8)  realised I didn't have half a red chilli  :-)), so not to be defeated I used a small dried one that I soaked in boiling water for about 10 mins first  I also added 1 anchovy which melted into the sauce.

I've got to say it's the best worc sauce I've made so far.  Am going to keep doing it this way from now on.  :D

Yum JulieO. I have never made Worcestershire sauce  but will now. I probably would have just added some dry chili, vinegar, tamarind and anchovies to the butter and thought about the sauce later. Really since I have all that stuff in the house anyway why don't I just make it. Thanks for reminding me how good and easy it is.

Gert, I haven't bought worc since I started making this recipe.  I only make a half lot at a time which lasts me a while.  I keep it in the fridge. It's seriously good.  ;D

You are so good Judy. I have just been typing Worcestershire and getting lots of hits but not the sauce which I didn't type in.  I remember it now. Too easy. Love it and I am nearly out.

Thanks once again.

It's a big cooking Easter for DH and I. Got home very late on Thursday from work and found that DH had already made pumpkin soup, had wonderful bread rolls rising (with his secret ingredient blue corn flour in them), home made ketchup bubbling away so a great dinner. Made a half batch of Chookie's hot crossed buns to rise in fridge overnight so fresh baked on Friday morning.

Stuffed and steamed chicken rolls last night (so yum), don't know what tonight yet.

12 people coming for high tea on Monday so over the next few days making mini mushroom and feta quiches, bread loaves to make finger sandwiches, chocolate eclairs (choux pastry in thermomix), Nay Nay's scones, tenina's cheese in pastry and her raspberry and almond cake from For Food's Sake.  DH is knocking up a batch of his famous beef chili and putting it into mini pies.

I should clarify that about half of the 12 visitors are 'starving' teens, thus the volume of food.  :-))

After all that cooking I'm hoping to sit down with a cake and a glass of champagne.

GiloKez, I don't think we're goddesses, just that Thermomix makes it so much easier to do things I'd normally never bother to cook (e.g. choux pastry) - so much fun as well, plus visitors and family are so impressed that 'I did it myself!' The fact that the Thermie makes for less washing up is also an attraction- the cleaning up bit is when all the kitchen helpers go AWOL usually.

Wow Bonsai you and DH have been really busy.
I've been making sticky date puddings for tomorrow lunch. Hot Cross Buns and some cheese twists and gluten free crackers.
Not sure which dip to make yet.

Made the Italian pistachio biscuits from this forum ( Trudy's recipe from memory) to take to a friend's place. Big hit!

Great effort girls.  I've only made a double batch of Nico's chilli chicken (yes it did all fit into the TM bowl Katie  ;)) for tomorrow's visitors.  All I have to do then is steam the rice and vegies.  I have Chookie's no fuss dough rising at the moment to make some baguettes in the morning.  This is the first time I've made the dough the night before so fingers crossed that my visitors will indeed have some bread to eat with their meal tomorrow.

Good to know Judy that you can make a double batch of Nico's chilli chicken, I'll keep that in mind for next time I need to cook a dish to feed a few people.

Today I've made a massive lasagna, pizza sauce, mini individual tiramisu's, mini mint verrines (a cold mint custard cream dessert with a crushed biscuit base I found on the internet), 24 cupcakes which I'm about to attempt to decorate (who knows how they will turn out!  I'm sure my nephews will eat them anyway).

We have 10 people coming for Easter lunch tomorrow and I'm going non-traditional having pizza, pasta & Riccadonna :)
