I went to make the cheddar flavoured butter (FFS) to go on our steaks tonight, but realised I'd used up all my worc sauce, so thought I'd make some, realised I didn't have half a red chilli , so not to be defeated I used a small dried one that I soaked in boiling water for about 10 mins first I also added 1 anchovy which melted into the sauce. I've got to say it's the best worc sauce I've made so far. Am going to keep doing it this way from now on.
Gert, I haven't bought worc since I started making this recipe. I only make a half lot at a time which lasts me a while. I keep it in the fridge. It's seriously good.
