Ive just made a whole heap of butter with some lovely cream that was half price at Loose Produce because it was use by today, so my butter is all in the freezer!
we are having pizza for dinner so im going to make some dough with olives in it
then with the buttermilk from the butter im going to make some buttermilk bread

my flourless cakes went down well this morning :)

tonight i made chicken mince then whizzed up a batch of roasted tomatoes to make a stove top bolognaise sauce

I have just made the dough for Tenina's Jaffa Basler Brunsli and put it in the fridge.
Not a great success so far! ???
I ended up with a dough that was like sticky concrete and far to heavy for the machine to mix, even with some extra liquid thrown in.  I had to drag it out and mix it by hand - not an easy job, but at least I feel that I have had a workout. ;)
The clean-up was not easy either.
I doubt that I will try to make these again, no matter how lovely they are.
Has anyone else tried to make them?  Perhaps I did something wrong.

i made peach & nectarine jam which came out really runny again even with jamsetta lol hoping it thickens a lot as it cools. smelled divine as it was cooking!

I have cooked them and they are seriously heavy.  The stated time of 6 minutes didn't appear to be enough, but 7 or 8 was clearly too much.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, folks - it's been manic!  Funny that you made the lemon curd for teacher gifts - I did too  ;D

I'm somewhat out for the count at the moment with some horrible viral infection.  DD and DH finding it relatively funny, as not only have I lost my voice, but the Dr's said that I'm not allowed to try and use what I do have!!  So it's hand written messages for DH, and using the text to speech function on my Mac to talk to my DD.  She loves it!  She pretends not to understand my mimes so that she can get me to use the computer.  Humph.

anyway, over the last couple of days I've gradually wobbled my way through TM-ing some bread, carrot soup, garlic and lemon tea (as remedy for me, preventative for family), and a fruit cake today, which is delish.  The rest, I'm afraid, has been left overs, meals I'd put in the freezer, or takeaway  :P.

At least while I've been collapsed on the sofa I've been reading TM cake recipes and comparing them to traditional to try and suss out how to convert recipes to TM.  Finally got it sussed (how completely is yet to be seen), mainly thanks to the inserts at the back of the Demonstrators Delights book, where different people showed how to convert a recipe.  Must admit I hadn't looked at them before, as they're just photocopies folded and inserted into the back of the book.  The fruit cake was a converted recipe, and has turned out perfectly, so that was a good start.  Something to cheer me up in all my misery, anyway  ;D

With perfect timing we got a staffordshire bull puppy the day before I came down ill.  I must say that training a puppy with no voice at all is a very interesting experience!   ::)  When I'm feeling a bit better, I plan to have a go at some homemade dog biscuits, using the TM, of course  :D

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

After my disastrous results yesterday, I have recovered and made some hommus and some pesto today.
I will probably have to make another batch of the Pistacio and Craisin shortbread as it is divinely moreish. :)

Thermomix has had a rest today, I've only made milk shakes for the family. I am seriously wondering how I managed without  this machine.  I haven't done a lot of varoma cooking yet, but find it so good for so many things.

The "How to Convert" pages sound like something that we should do here - great idea !!!!    :-* :-*

Congratulations on the new addition - they are a great breed.  Something to make life even more hectic.  There are recipes for dog biscuits on the German site - Virus Culinarius if you haven't got a recipe already.

I have just made 2 different lots of stuffing to take to my butcher.  A prune and sage one for the pork and an apricot, orange and thyme for the turkey.  The turkey one was supposed to be cranberry - but they have all vanished from the shelves!
We are getting a new dog (hopefully - it depends on how many are in the litter) in March - an Irish Wolfhound.  They are the tallest breed in the world and are the biggest cuddlers too.  Our last one died 2 years ago and I still miss her. :'(

I am still in holiday mode and we are still eating left overs so the TM has had a rest.  Today I used it to boil some eggs for house guests.
