Seriously considering hitting the vodka tonight....its been a very long couple of weeks at work :)....unfortunately the only vodka I have currently has 12 vanilla pods infusing in it...will have to stick to the T2 iced teas that just arrived, maybe a Tulsi Lavender.  Since getting home from work, I've made beef stock in the pressure cooker, a chicken in the pressure cooker and currently have a loaf of Herman bread in the oven.  I've also made a batch of ciabatta dough that I'm rising in the fridge overnight that hopefully will end up being garlic bread crackers in a couple of days.  I was going to make a cake tonight but I'm dead on my feet.  I'm trying to stay awake until DD gets picked up from work.

Stacelee - would love to know how your ciabatta goes as I've been wanting to make that and if you could post a photo, that would be great too!

I've made a lemon surprise pudding for tomorrow (will give a review then) and Avgolemono (Greek Egg-Lemon Chicken Soup).

what are you drinking the vodka with.... :)

I like mine with a little sugar syrup, a lime muddled in shaker with some ice shake and pour into a glass
Maybe a few of these on the retreat would go down well DD.

We had JD's chicken and leek filo pie for dinner followed by Bron's lemon sponge. I have also used up the other half of the stout in a beef stew in the PC for tomorrow, as we are going away for the weekend. I have also made choc chip and cranberry biscuits and my chick pea chocolate raspberry brownies.

guests have gone home very happy, and raved about the pizzas and cheesecake slice. Don't mind cooking for people when they rave  :D  (is that hedonistic?) Usually when we go to their house we order in, but everything has been home made and its funny how you can have 3 pieces of home made and feel full whereas with bought pizza you can eat another additional slice or two...  MJ's passata is the best pizza base BTW and wouldn't have any other substitute.

...the best thing before sliced bread probs (depending on how much bread you consume)

I actually wanted to save mine for some lasagne but by the by it got used on pizzas and never had enough to use. Horrible now that its winter so it will cost me fortune to buy tomatoes but worth it all the same. Why the hell would you spread commercial pizza sauce when you have tasted home made pizza dough, passata, and toppings?

I have my first batch of ciabatta rising, have had two cups of tea, taken brat no.1 to work and about to make a batch of Herman pancakes to feed brat no. 2 so that she doesn't insist on joining dh and I when we go out for breakfast.  Tom made Brat no. 1 a banana smoothie for breakfast in the hope that he will resist getting something at work, but I'm probably living in fairyland on that one.
