Thanks for that. I'll try them now so brat no. 1 has them for when he gets home from work.  They are his favorite and apparently I'm a fail as a mother since I make foul ones. Gotta love the tactful teenager.

I thought I'd post a picture of my Herman pancakes before the feral fairy gets stuck into them.  They turned out pretty well :).

I'm a bit spoilt, I also have a Kenwood cooking chef to the right of the thermomix.  I'd have a hotmix pro but my husband won't play nice in the sandpit with me.  Apparently I have enough toys.  He is letting me replace my broken microwave with a steam convection microwave so I probably shouldn't complain too much!

I wouldn't buy one to replace the Thermomix.  Its good for a different type of cooking.  I love being able to make bigger batches of food and the temperature control is more precise.  I make most of my bread in it because I can make bigger batches and I find the dough hook easier on the fingers....but....it does mean that I have to use "attachments" when I want to chop, shred etc....but I do have the option of dicing, slicing rather than just chopping.  It is also easier to whip eggwhites in.

I have the best of both worlds sitting on my kitchen bench.  I would replace both the kenwood and the thermomix if they broke (actually my kenwood is broken...its my mothers one that is on my bench at the moment...mine is in being repaired under warranty for the second time :(....luckily my mother loves me).  I must admit that I wouldn't replace the Thermochef after having used it for six months.  It is adequate but not great.....and it would give me an excuse to nag my husband to let me get a Hotmix.  I'm very lucky that with selling catering equipment, I sometimes have the opportunity to get things either at the right price or to trial, otherwise I couldn't justify having the three machines...my credit card would melt.

Wow e everyone has been busy with cooking.
I have only been doing the basics lately as I'm sick at the moment with a terrible head cold. DH has it too, so we're both a little worse for wear.
But life goes on and I'm dragging my self around doing the bare essentials like washing and tidying up around the house. :)
Hopefully I'm feeling better soon
The weather is not helping much as its been freezing here with -2 degrees over night. Big frost this morning.

Stacelee, a thermomix, a Thermo chef, and a kenwood cooking chef too. How lucky you are.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

My first batch of ciabatta prior to being sliced up for garlic bread crackers. The recipe was posted by thermomixer.  My second batch is currently rising.  It is the one made with the sponge.  I'm about to start making some shortbread for my niece as she has an interview where my kids work at maccas and she is very nervous.  She loves shortbread so I thought she might like them after her interview.
