Haven't made much in the last two days as we cooked up a big roast on Thursday night and have been eating left overs since then. Made a very nice variation of the Avacado Dip for a Tupperware party this afternoon which was nearly all polished off  ;D and recieved some great feedback so will post that now.

Mmm, let me guess - would that be a lamb roast ILB ;) ;) ;)  I'm hanging out for a lamb roast but not until my freezer is empty.

Our get together last night was fantastic fun. I did Sundried tomato and Capsicum dip from the EDC, 5 Seed bread, and the Broccoli Timbales. We also had (all made in the TMX) a yum olive tapenade with lovely thin crackers (done with a pasta machine). strawberry and ginger sorbet, a wow chick pea soup, chicken and vegies with a delicious sauce from the varoma, Fish pie with potato topping, pears in red wine and zabliagone. For afters we had fudgy wudgy cookies and Carrot and White chocolate cake I had made earlier with chai made in the TMX.
I really enjoyed it and the lady who thought of it is to be commended as it's a great idea.
I don't really know if the only non owners will purchase a TMX but they certainly seemed to enjoy the food.

Wowie! Thats a legendary cook up! Sounds really really really good!

Today for me, I'm combining the TM with my slow cooker today and making a large batch of eggplant vegetarian lasagna, yum! I don't have a pasta maker, but I am going to try and make the pasta dough in the TM and roll it out thin with my rolling pin. I have no idea how this will go.... apparently it is difficult, it may end it tears. I have been eying off pasta makers, but I don't want another appliance but I love fresh pasta (but not the 'latina fresh' kind).

And, if I get around to it, I think I will make some seitan (fake meat made from wheat gulten).

A trick if you are rolling it out by hand - get small pieces, like Quirky Jo's tortillas, and use your hands to roll into snakes about 20cm long and 1cm across, then roll these snakes out into smal sheets, rather than trying to roll out one hugh chunk.

Also, for lasagne, they don't have to be perfectly rectangles - you are overlapping them.

Good luck - buona fortuna  ;D

Today I have made steamed garlic rice, tropical pork curry and now have a big pot of soup on the STOVE????? - had a big bag of meaty beef bones in the freezer so cooked them for an hour in the weber before adding them to a huge pot with some vegies. I'm sure this will be my last pot of soup for the year but with weather these days, you can never tell.  It felt funny, making something the conventional way again but don't think the TMX would have held all the bones.
Clearing out the freezer is going well.  Made my inventory on 29/8 and had 25 meals in there.  Today I am down to just 11 meals.

I had a lovely last minuuute invite to a friends house for a leg of lamb. I had one hour so made the stickydate puddng from the EDCB and had minutes to spare. Everyone loved it. Very light which surprised me.

Thank you Thermomxers.

My freezer clearing is going well too.  I took out a container of small meatballs in tomato sauce which only needed reheating in a saucepan after defrosting.  I made pasta in the TM and used my KA to roll and cut into fettuccini which I sprinkled with parmesan grated in the TM.   :D

this morning i made another batch of the gluten free english muffins, yum!

then nothing much til tonight when i got the honey soy wings and drumsticks out of the freezer and cooked them, as well as jo's non-fried fried rice

we quite enjoyed it and my girls inhaled the chicken lol (ds doesn't eat chicken and dh and i are not dark meat / on the bone chicken eaters so only had a few). i can't remember if i'd followed the recipe or made it up, but they needed some more honey in them. love being able to grab them from the freezer and chuck them in after a bit of defrosting though!

we liked the rice but i overcooked the veg a bit and didn't use enough soy sauce etc (i only used jo's recipe as a guide so entiredly my own fault lol). kids weren't keen on the rice but they are never keen on fried rice and this lot was more than half vegies ;)

Oh well - made some pasta today and rolled it by hand http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1831.msg17136#msg17136

Hope the tips help encourage others to try making pasta even if they don't have a pasta machine
