That bread and rolls look great Chookie.

The details were drawn on with a food pen from Americolour, it has quite a fine tip and is great for things like this.

The majority of the kids weren't allowed in the house because we have a pool so they were very wet, and because it was a "gathering" not a party we weren't allowed to do a cake. The kids that sort them thought they were cute. DD sort of appreciated them or humoured me any way, I really did them for me because I love doing fancy cakes and she wouldn't let me this year!!

Michele, fortunately all the girls my dd is friends with are pretty good eaters and aren't fussed, we sadly find a few of the boys are really worried about the way they look and can be worse than the girls at times.

They look fantastic Wonder   8). Teenagers don't always express their appreciation, but empty plates speak volumes.

we sadly find a few of the boys are really worried about the way they look and can be worse than the girls at times.

I have noticed this too  :(. Shame, they should be out and about enjoying life.

The kids who did see them and ate them thought they were lovely and the main thing was DS and I had a great time on Saturday morning making them up. They were a lot of fun and very easy because everything apart from the actual cupcakes was purchased and it was just a matter of putting them altogether. We loved coming up with ideas to draw on the tiny teddies. DS was a big fan of boardies and swimming caps and also make a few one piece bathers. With the cakes I normally make they are much more complicated and the kids can't really help out, so this was a great.  Thanks for the ideas Maddy.
