I had an Aga baked potato, leek and an egg for my lunch while everyone else is out today.
It was warming and delicious, just what I needed.

Ha ha Gert. It is not a typo, it was always called the girdle iron as it has a long handle right over the top. Will try to photo it when I find it.

Too funny DJ. Never heard of that. There are obvious girdles and girdles and then griddles,  ;D ;D

Great photo MDU!

Cooking for lunch boxes tonight - chocolate version of Luigi's 40 sec biscuits (EDC) and Isi's mini donuts.  Love both of these recipes, always perfect and delicious!  😃😃😃

Ive been cooking for lunch boxes today too, in amongst tackling the mountain of washing from our holiday that is now finally done.
We had no bread and the biscuit barrel was empty.
I made a loaf of bread and some chia rolls, CP's cornflake biscuits and Bedlams Anzac slice. It's the first time that I've made the Anzac slice and its delicious.  I had a small amount of cornflakes left in the box, so I added them to the slice.

Today I made Thai Chicken and Coconut Soup. I add more veggies to it and it is a real favourite.

Also weetbix slice, and Chookie's Belgian Lemon Teacake and custard.

I've made the zucchini & rice pie, banana ice-cream is cooling down before churning and I made Mum some ginger & dried fruit balls.

All I've done is tried to do some candied orange peel but it crystallised at the end. I'm tempted to just grind it up and use it by the teaspoonful.

I made wholefoods simply jersey caramels but turned them into truffles. They are made from dates, coconut and vanilla. Healthyish and really hard to stop at one. Here's a photo of what's left.
