......., but I have to get lights out and set them up in the kitchen over the table just before dinner is ready which is a pain.  .....

Warning!  Once you start taking them, it becomes addictive.   :D

I haven't worried about lights etc as yet, just my pocket camera, no SLR.  It is bad enough when MrsT swoons and then says "where's yours? - oh no you made it for that Bimby thing  - not for me !!!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:("

But it can be addictive

Made mayo from the EDC book.   Salad and cold meat following isi's pasta dish.   Needed something to lift the salad so made a dressing............  1 large bunch of water cress (from the garden),zapped in the TMX , scraped down twice.
                          .....
Really add some interest to a rather dull salad.   Will make it often.

good thinking Chookie - I put half an avocado in after making the mayo and blitzed it all up on Sunday to dress a smoked trout salad.  Watercress (FROM MY OWN GARDEN - I wish) would have been a great addition.

Thankyou Chookie, this is the link to the recipe in case you are interested.  Was a bit different in that it didn't have a pastry base.  I made a couple of changes.

I used a bbq chicken and  pulled the meat off in bite sized pieces.  Instead of topping the baking dish with the pastry, I just used 1 sheet of puff pastry and baked it on it's own, then cut into triangles and put a piece on top of the filling on each plate.  I also added cubed butternut pumpkin to the vegetables.
Next time I won't bother with the leeks, will use 2 spanish onions instead of the 1 this time,  and will probably add some thick chunks of zucchini to roast as well.

The wine sauce was nice without being strong flavoured, I added a small handful of shredded tasty cheese to the sauce at the end.  :)

If I don't use lights then the result is too dark.  My family are so used to the whole camera/lights/action thing they don't batter an eyelid any more.  :-))   :D

Funny, when I had the photo taken for the newspaper article it took the photographer nearly as much time to set up his $10,000 lights as to take the pics,  ...and he sad that given the choice he would spend money on good lights and a cheaper camera.  Still need to lookat good lights ! - would probably save time getting a decent pic

I love the look and sound of this one too JulieO and was pleased that something could be done in the TMX to produce such a result.  Have printed out the recipe.  I will also leave out the leeks and substitute with other vegies, 3 leeks would be too strong a flavour for me plus they can be quite expensive.  Like the idea of baking the pastry on it's own too.

I have made Thermomixer's Zucchini Cake - see http://thermomix-er.blogspot.com/2010/01/thermomix-zucchini-cake.html. Just tasted it and so so yummy! I had a similar situation as to what Thermixer says on the recipe - a neighbour gave me two massive zucchinis from their garden. Used almost one here and only used the outer flesh and skin. Recipe makes two loaves too. Hoping it should freeze ok.

Thanks for trying it - due to computer issues I haven't managed to transfer it here.  :( :(  but it is simple and there is one in the TMX Vegetarian (I think) book too to use up the big zucchini

Oh that one looks great for using up some excess zucchinis!

Hi everyone,
as a TMX newbie I'm still getting used to using it.
However, I'm a bit proud of myself today though as  I made a coleslaw, mixed and then steamed some asian chicken balls and served it up with rice (not tmx'd though).
Then I splurged and made some chocolate custard.
Kids and DH all loved the chicken balls (.... but chickens dont have balls.... ) and the kids and papa enjoyed the custard.
Must be careful with all the tempting recipies or I might just find the 10kgs that I've recently shed!!!

 :P

KL, you will have lots more days like today.  It is still so exciting to create new recipes or try one off the forum or books and serve it up to the family. It's funny though, I feel as if the TMX is the creator and I am just the manipulator of the buttons. If the recipe gets the thumbs up, I am pleased for my TMX.  Something askew here  ??? ??? ???

you dont give yourself enough credit Judy.
FYI, I got the chicken ball recipie from the forum, was the Chicken Dumplings recipie but I was too lazy to make the wonton wrappers so just went with the chicken mix instead.
coleslaw and custard from EDC.

Must admit I need to be a bit more organised with my shopping and menu planning!!

Why don't you just buy the wonton wrappers from your local chinese supermarket KL -  they are really cheap at the Adelaide Central Market asian shop and I wouldn't be bothered making them for the price they charge - somewhere between $2 & $3 a packet.

you dont give yourself enough credit Judy.
Maybe not generally but I did tonight on another thread  ;D ;D ;D

LOL - chickens do have balls - but they're inside - you see the little white balls inside the carcase sometimes  ;D ;D

Congratulations on your TMX efforts and even BIGGER congratulations on the wt loss.
