Made some of Rara's Pancakes for the girls and that's all. It's far too hot to cook anything else.

I agree about it being too hot to cook
This morning I did make Fafallina's strawberry sauce, and apricot sauce as well. Tonight I made vanilla icecream from KIS using condensed milk. I put my icecream maker on, but the whipped cream made it too thick to pour into the icecream maker, so instead I poured it into a container and swirled through some of the apricot sauce and put it in the freezer. Since I had the icecream maker on, I also made my ordinary vanilla icecream and churned it in the machine. When it was ready, I swirled some of the strawberry sauce through it and popped it in the freezer too.
The kids couldn't wait for the icecreams to freeze properly, and had some for dessert. I can't wait to try them tomorrow when they have firmed up properly.

Lovely bread DJ. I'm not a fan of marmalade but yours certainly looks nice.

Cc I only just noticed you were making marmalade too.
Thanks mab, I need to have home made marmalade for the B and B guests, with the home made bread.
This is batch no1!
Had to borrow a preserving pan as mine still stored. Haven't a clue as to how much to make in the first year!

I just cooked abit of my hand taking the Cheese & Chilli bread out of the oven. I immediately dropped the cast iron pot onto the glass window of the ovenwhich fortunately didn't break. I've been eyeing off a recipe for some macarooooons that I want to try either today or tomorrow. DH is coming home tonight from up north and always likes a few little treats like that, even though he keeps telling everyone he's on a diet
