Today from 500g mince meat I made a minced beef quiche and a batch of Sloppy Joe (4 meals for the 2 of us), isi's Juicy muffins and Chookies iced coffee syrup (used the rest of my last batch giving drinks to the workers who did my garden last week, weren't they spoilt).  Have posted the quiche recipe and will do a review of the Sloppy Joe when we have it tomorrow night.

Made a double batch of the hot cross bun dough (except wheat and dairy free, and no sultanas as they had ants in them :( )... rolled out half and filled it with berries (thawed), sprinkled with a little Rapadura, rolled up and made into a tea ring with slashes that show the berries, then sprinkled a little more Rapadura on top.  Looks nice!  We'll see how it tastes.  The other half I just made into a loaf for toast for breaky tomorrow.  Also made pesto.  Oh, and apple cinnamon porridge for breaky.  And at lunch I cooked sliced potatoes in olive oil and water on Varoma temp while steaming veges on top, which we had with marinated beef ribs cooked in crockpot.  Yum!

After reading Quirky and JD.  I feel that I haven't done much today  ......... Made a loaf of TMX bread from the EDC book ,  except i used 400 plain (bakers ) flour, 100 wholemeal flour,  and 20mls. of LSA.  But I made sure it had a first double rise,  then a second full double rise.   Good texture and flavor. Yesterday  ,    I have made eggplant dip, waffles, bread and sweet corn soup   This soup,  and all the other things contained both coconut oil and coconut flour.  (I have been doing some experimental cooking for a friend who is a Naturopath,  using the coconut oil and flour,  and made in the TMX.)   I have posted all recipes with photos on my blog and will shift them across when I learn how.  The sweet corn soup is particularly nice,  I have made it for years, but before TMX ,  kept it for special occasions as it was a very messy and time consuming recipe.   Now it is easy and has a better texture

Hi,

I did a quick dip when a friend called to say she was coming to visit! Had bought stuff for the EDC Sundried tom and capsicum dip this morning. Later on did a new batch of vegie stock and then some coleslaw which we will shortly have with our bbq.

The other night I did the EDC Beef Rendang. It is yummy, had once before. Havled the recipe - except for the chilli - oops! Was a little spicy but added some yoghurt and mango chutney and was even better.

Can't think what else we did last week... This week planning a risotto and probably mash to do with something once night. DH does his porridge every morning too and I sometimes sneak in a smoothie for brekky.

Jo

This sounds very interesting - must go have a look at your blog, if I can find it!

I can thank you  JD and Thermomixer for being where I am now.   Think i might have given up without you support.  Amanda has been very patient and I can finally put photos on my blog. Next step in to be able to transfer from blog to forum,  and then to do links.  I love the challange of converting recipes ,  and I love food photos.   Do try the Sweet corn soup.  An inventive person like you will have lots of fun with the toppings.   Tomorrow I'm going to  convert and cook a slice, that has a whole orange in it . Watch this space ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Today I made some of the choc milk concentrate, Isi's bread with the buttermilk in, pumpkin soup, a seafood risotto and a tomato pie with basil and herb dip. This was an adaption of one I saw somewhere so will post it as it's is so easy and nice.

Have posted the Tomato tart recipe and photo.
Here is the seafood risotto.

Chookie, scroll up to Quirky Jo's posting and see how she has her blogsite listed at the bottom of her post.  This is what you need to do with your blog so that people can go straight to it by clicking on it - perhaps ask Amanda if she can do it for you.  If not, I'm sure someone on here can point you in the right direction to do it yourself. At the moment they need to click on your name and that leads them to your profile where you do have your blog address but it would be easier to have it come up everytime you post something.  Are you with me?
