CarolineW it is so nice to hear you are walking again. I fully understand the delight in your DD's voice when she watched you going about your normal household chores.   My DH was having a really good trot a while back and actually was able to walk the length of the passage on a frame with me following very closely behind with the wheelchair waiting for him to fall into it.  Our then 4 yr old grand-daughter followed the procession, watching Grandpa in awe as it was the first time she had seen him walk.  Once he sat down, she raced back to the lounge room and declared excitedly 'Mum, Grandpa did a party trick'.

Junket is described on google as a soft pudding like texture.  I wouldn't say it is like blancmange, that I think is more like a custard.  It is so smooth, it just slides down your throat.

Thanks for the description of junket - I have a better idea of what it is now.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Still don't know if they mean a level or heaped measure of that spoon that was in the container of powder.
I don't think it matters that much JD - The more you use the quicker it sets! Make sure you have your dessert glasses ready!  ;)
CarolineW so happy for your family getting back to 'normal'. Junket is sweet curds and whey whereas blacmange is like custard.  :)

Last night we had a couple of small crayfish for dinner so I made a Green Goddess dressing to go with them - delicious!

Last night I morphed Jo's Mexican Quinoa recipe and Chelsea's Tuna Strudel recipe into Tuna and Quinoa Sausage Rolls.  It was a case of needing to finish a few things in the fridge, and feeling like tuna, and presenting both in such a way that the kids would like it. 

Turned out really well.  I tried to explain to DH that it was a leftovers meal and that I'd probably never make it quite the same again, and he looked devastated.  Not bad for a leftovers meal!

Well done Cathy. I have one family member DD who turns her nose up at leftovers.
Caroline lovely to hread that you are walking again.  Judy, how wonderful for you and your DH that he was able to walk a little. I'll bet he was exhausted after.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thanks for the photo of your lovely meal JulieO - shows the potatoes off nicely.  If you had any left-overs do what I did with mine, spray a pan and cook until crunchy and golden.  I'm going to do double quantity next time so that I can have them both ways again.  I love my potatoes and this latest recipe is now certainly on the top of the list.

Judy that sounds a nice way to use up any left over potatoes.  None today as I've frozen 2 meals like the one above for DH's work lunches.  :)

Today I had a windfall. ;D ;D ;D,  A friend who ran a cafe in a local town (with her husband) and has just retired sent me the most popular recipes from the cafe.   Today I started converting and testing the recipes.   Today it was a Basic Cake recipe.  I will check and if there is nothing similar,  will post the recipe as it was so simple and tasted very good.

That chicken looks great, I know you mentioned on Taste it's from a blog, could you please let me know which one?
