DD made cranberry and pistachio shortbread dipped in lint chocolate. A favourite. Showing her how to look up Cookidoo and transfer over to TM5 was amusing. But it was great for her to see how easy by missing or not reading ahead a near disaster. They are great.

That is a very good lesson to learn so young, K ATIE.   Well done.
Just scones today.  Nay Nay recipe. I thought I would use a different recipe for scones last week.  That were so awful that even the Chooks didn’t like them.

Not much cooking happening here apart from a loaf of bread.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Chookes with very discerning taste   :D

Some pies with leftover lamb and choc chip biscuits using the suprise biscuit recipe. They turned out really well. I had a friend stop in for coffee and she said they were delicious. I was pleased with the shape too, nearly all the same.

Pistachio and cranberry shortbread sounds delicious.
I made Tenina’s Ciabatta today. https://tenina.com/recipes/ciabatta-loaf-three-ways
It was a very, very soft dough. I was really thrilled with the way it turned out, nice and holey.

I love holey bread too cookie, I don’t know why as the holes have no taste!

Cookie,  I've had that recipe saved for ages.  Love how yours has turned out, looks perfect  ;D

The shortbread sounds nice Katie, is it the one from the Festive cookbook?  That one is really nice.

Great biscuits McMich.

Chookie, NayNay's recipe is the one I always fall back on, just works every time.  :D

Yes the shortbread is out of Festive flavours . Might have to cook more food again , the shortbread seems to have diminished.

Judy,  the holes do have taste.  They are filled with butter and honey.
Michele, glad you are having such fun  with the Surprise biscuit recipe.
Cookie, that does look nice.  I usually make the Paul Hollywood recipe.
This is the SD loaf that my gardener made.  It is delightful and she is so pleased with her newly developed skill.

I’ve not long taken this potato bake out of the oven so just had a small taste to see if it’s worthy of sharing and it is. I recently subscribed to Healthy Food Guide and have received my first copy (July), very surprised how much the small book has shrunk even more!  It does make it easier to sit up in bed and read though.  This recipe is from their website and is exactly what I was looking for with no cream.  I did sauté the onion (I used half onion and some spring onion I wanted to use up) and added some of Tenina’s caramelised garlic paste to that.  https://www.healthyfoodguide.com.au/recipes/2008/june/potato-bake. I might cover it for half the baking time next time as mine is much darker than their photo. There’s 8 serves for me in this side.

Your gardeners SD looks very impressive Chookie.
I made an apple cake yesterday that everyone is raving about. It is put together in layers. Trudy sent me the recipe and then our ABC was promoting it. We had it for dessert last night and DH has had a couple of bits today. I forgot to take a photo, so here it is in its container ready for the fridge.ill try and remember to take a better photo tonight.
