It took me a long time to try it as it floated like green slime. However it was delicious. Much the same as borscht which took me  a long time to try. MIL made great soup.

I've just made a batch of my version of Passata. I got cheap tomatoes at the Italian shop.

Cookie, lovely Bread.  Wish mine looked like that.  I think mine feels unloved at the omens.
Judy, that soup looks lovely.  Glad you can taste something.
I have made lots of pizzas I stamp the bases out with a tin , to a size that fits the AF.  I put various toppings on them and cook for just 3 minutes in the pizza machine.  They reheat beautifully.

This press has a ratchet system on it Mab. Mum's didn't and was impossible to use.
Yesterday I made some interesting muffins. Usually my muffins are crap as DD is the muffin maker. These turned out well.
Today I cooked my rye SD from yesterday, it was slow in rising due to the air con I think. This afternoon I plan to make some No Fuss Rolls  as DH's request. He loves them for lunch.

I assembled a fruit cake today and baked it. The fruit had been soaking for a week. I also made 2 rye SD loaves. One is still rising in the fridge and the other is baked. Both seemed very runny but I managed.
It’s a very small loaf.

Cookie, RTE has a good apple muffin recipe which I have made once or twice and they turned out perfectly each time ... if I can do it, anyone can!

DH has recently decided SD which has spent the night in the fridge prior to baking is much better.

I often leave my SD in the fridge overnight Marina. Especially the rye ones. I cooked the second new recipe this morning. It is lovely and dark and very tasty. Only a very small loaf though, and short!

I'm making a Classic Loaf. I bought a giant bread tin with a lid. I think this will fit into it rather well. We will soon see.
Here is my Classic loaf.  Also the Sunbeam Golden Fruit cake which is delicious.

DD and DH said they now need 2 slices for  toast as these are smaller!!! They are used to the very domed loaves.

I've made some scrolls. They are strawberry and almond. I copied the filling from a site and used Chookie's No Fuss recipe with a good slurp of golden syrup in.

The plum vinegar is lovely although I was a bit heavy handed with the spices.  Will make another batch and add some chilli flakes. Will put the recipe up as it will make a lovely gift.
