Thanks for the lovely photos and cooking ideas. I’m feeling in cooking limbo. Odd job fellas came yesterday and have good appetites so love to cook for them. Made My Favourite Quiche, which they loved. Ral joined us for lunch and enjoyed their company.
If I want to bake, I return home, ( 5 minutes away).

I'm trying some baguettes. We will see how they go. It's only 10* here at 2.22pm. Very cold for us. It's also pouring.

A big pot of pea and ham soup then I shredded the smoked hock to freeze for DD to do something with. I sent her a link to a collection of recipes using this type of meat when asking her if she wanted it. It was a yes please from her.

I was pleased with my baguettes. Yesterday I made a muesli slice but it was all eaten. (We had visitors). Today I made some biscuits with a mini Reece’s Peanut. Butter chocolate on the top. You push it down while the biscuit is hot.

I had a roasted chicken carcass given to me so I made a batch of Chinese chicken & sweetcorn soup using the quick recipe on a packet of Chicken noodle soup mix.

Your cupcakes look lovely Cookie.  I have only made some caramalized onions today.

I made the Family Chicken Galette from Cookido today and used the left over pastry to make Apple & plum jam turnover.

We enjoy that recipe mab. I love the idea of using the spare pastry for the turnover.

Cookie, do you have any problems with the pastry for this dish?  I find it to be very soft and I need to add a lot more flour.

I made some more vegetable soup this morning.  I used this recipe Vegetable soup with bacon and pasta from Maddy this time.  Then I made the filling for a beef & veg cannelloni.
