Looks like a sourdough texture !
Yes KAtie, but much lighter. I love this bread and amazed at how it rises in the oven. Ral not so keen on it. I’m going to make it again but make 2 balls, football shape.  I’m learning a lot about my new ovens. Need to leave 3 1/2 hours for the full process.
The Euro oven has a well in the base where water can be placed , for steam. Not as good as Meile but not bad.

Just about to try my hand at baking a cherry pudding cake as we have too many cherries and I don't want to waste them.  I am interested to see how this will turn out.

That sounds lovely Marina. I wish we had the cherry problem. They have been very scarce and expensive this year.
No cooking here today.

Marina, let us know how the Cherry cake turns out. Sounds interesting.
Yesterday made Raspberry and Nectarine jam in TMX. Although the recipe only makes a small quantity it cooks while doing other things. I use my Strawberry Conserve recipe as a guide .
Also made yogurt . Had about a cup left over that wouldn’t fit into container. Set it in the oven with the light on.
Would love to do some baking but too hot.

I got up early this morning and made the egg and bacon pie for dinner, then a lemon cake for visitors tomorrow.

I am pleased to say that, much to my surprise, the cherry pudding cake turned out pretty well, Chookie.  The recipe called for 2 1/2 cups sugar - I cut that down by at least 3/4 - 1 cup, the full amount asked for would have made the cake pretty sickly sweet I think.

I'm only making a rye SD today as it's rather warm.

Holidays are over so no more cooking on a daily basis - it is back to my usual bulk weekend cooking routine.

DS requested a Chicken & Vegetable Curry for dinner tonight so I got up very early and made it before the kitchen heated up.

I did enjoy cooking on a daily basis, Chookie - it gave me the chance to take my time, instead of rush rush rushing, and I also tried out quite a few new recipes which was good fun.
