Got to keep our men happy, don't we Karen ;D ;D ;D  They are our taste testers a lot of the time, if they don't like it then probably no-one else will either.  This was the easiest recipe to tweak and get right and is very popular for a quick meal in this house.

judy he's the thermomix cook in this house actually! i use it more but rarely cook in it, whereas he cooks whole meals in it regularly. (and will be tonight seeing as i'm going on strike  ;D )

oh, i just made chai 'latte' in the thermomix, but it's not quite tasty enough so i will have to refine my recipe (i think probably cooking longer)

I've just put on another batch of the Tomato (pasta) sauce from the everyday book. I'll review it in the 'tweaking' section.

Last night we had the Pumpkin, zucchini and feta quiche that Nico Moretti made at last Sundays gathering. It was lovely.
Tonight is gnocchi and arrabiata (?) sauce.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

gnocchi is easy but time consuming judy.

and my only attempt at GF was a disaster lol

i am just making the vege fritters and baked beans from the vege book - the fritters are DELISH!! the baked beans smell great too.

Yes Judy, I made the gnocchi from the book. I will review it in recipe tweaking. They were very nice and I made the Arrabiatta sauce to go with them and sprinkled a little grated Parmesan on. Very nice. I had gnocchi left to freeze for when we go away and a little of the sauce to freeze too.

I have just made Nico Moretti's Bourbon BBQ sauce. Licking the bowl was indeed a pleasure and I didn't cut my tongue on the blades!!

Had a big day out today so wanted a simple meal for tea.  Tried the boiled eggs from the everyday cookbook after reading from others how easy it was.  Have to agree, none of the shells cracked as normally happens on the stove and being able to just put it on and leave it until they were ready was great.  11 minutes for an extra large egg was perfect and I will never do them any other way again.

A girlfriend is having a tough time preparing her 5 month old for surgery (getting him to take the bottle) so I put the TM under one arm and took off to her place for the afternoon.  After a few cups of tea, we whipped up some yummy Pumpkin Soup (perfect as Mt Hotham which is nearby had a fair dumping of snow today and we were left with the cold icy winds), Mushroom Risotto and Asian Fish Fillets.  She was wrapped!! (as you would be) and couldn't believe how quickly the TM knocked out those dishes.  So hopefully she's coming to the cooking class in Wangaratta in a couple of weeks  ;D ;D ;D

The Thermomix is just too good not to share  ;) ;D

Today I have made some potato & corn soup and have posted the recipe on the forum. Eating leftovers today but have made the moussaka from the GF book for tomorrow's main meal (enough to take a dishful down to daughter too).  This is the first time I have ever made this dish so will post my review after it has been eaten.  Made a batch of chocolate custard and a cheese filling for french bread - will post this recipe in the bread section as I'm not sure where else to put it. That's it for today, time to put my feet up and have a cuppa ;D ;D

Judy you have been a busy girl. It is a public holiday here today for Anzac day but the shops are open (they were closed on Anzac day!) so daughter and I have been out shopping. She is cooking dinner tonight - Ramen I believe.  She loves Asian food.

Cookie1, yes cold weather is great for being in the kitchen cooking. SA didn't get a holiday for Anzac Day, wonder if the other states did.  Not that I need a holiday, everyday is a holiday when you are retired. When are you going away next and where? Do you take your computer with you? Enjoy your daughter's cooking - love asian myself.
