Oh dear, have just made the pork mignon, and it was not a success! Must have been my improvisation of english mustard, I added wholegrain nutty mustard instead! They are eating it, bless them, but won't be repeating today! I bought the vermouth, and apart from the mustard every thing else I did the same as the recipe. Oh can only get white normal mushrooms. The meat wasn't cooked properly after 15 mins, nor after 20, so it was 25 mins. The pork was quite chewy, maybe it was because it wasn't thin enough. Not too sure what I have done wrong! Shame! Was really looking forward it!!!
Judy my oven is an Omega and it has a fan on all the time and then when you want fan forced it boosts up the speed of the fan. It blows air out of the top of the oven. I queried it and was told it was normal. It's 5 years old in July.

... made it into an even cheaper sweets similar to one Mum used to make when we were kids, called Brown Sugar pudding.
Was invited to a picnic, so I made two ricotta cheese cakes. That's one of my absolute favorites. Not as rich as NY style, but more flavor IMHO.
