Maddy - as usual your creations look wonderful.  I made mini cheesecakes - cherry ripe variation but should have had the camera on the bench as they all disappeared very quickly.  :D  :D

Maddy, just noticed your signature...we are members here!  My DH has been following them religiously his whole life and since we had our boys he just had to sign them (well, all of us) up as members.  Your cupcakes look very cute!

Today I made Lemon Curd & Blueberry Friands.

Mmm, all looks and sounds so delicious!

I was fairly industrious today and made my Pancake Mixture, then Rough Puff Pastry, then made sausage in a blanket, cream match bases, sausage rolls and mini croissants.
Also made a Lemon Cake.

For tea, I cooked some soba noodles in the basket while steaming some monkfish which I'd marinated in Kecap Manis and Chinese Five Spice. Served with stir fried vegies. Scrumptious!

I've always heard monk fish being used in UK cooking shows, but have never seen it available in the shops here. I found it at Woolies in Albany. Quite a soft fish, but very nice.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

So, Faffa, how was the sourdough? Which recipe did you use?
I haven't had much success with sourdough.

I had grand plans today but only managed porridge, frothed milk, chicken in garlic sauce from the Asian book, stir fry veggies, rice,  two sour dough French sticks and a mini sour dough fruit loaf. the night is still young though so I am planing on making meat and chicken stock and hopefully a few more on my list :)

Well today I took my TMX to the Tuckshop.

I made:
20 serves of Pumpkin soup
30 serves of Savoury mince
30 serves of fried rice
24 serves large spag bog

Anyway when I got home I was totally stuffed.  I think it was my feet that were the total killer ( I didn't wear my proper shoes- just wore thongs)

Tonight my eldest 2 (14yo with the flu read the instructions to my 12 yo that isn't good at reading) and they made risotto with prawns instead of mushrooms.

Uni for me tomorrow so I just get to draw and design.  Yay!

Ricotta and spinach cannelloni steamed in the varoma with tomato and veg sauce cooked in the bowl - yummo

How did your sourdough turn out Meagan?

Fab :) the fruit loaf was proclaimed by DH as better than the  one we buy at the 'artisan' bakery up the road. They use a sour dough base for all of their bread and I think I have finally cracked a great fruit loaf :) :) :) :) it is a keeper so pleased with myself  8) I used sultanas apricots dates and walnuts.
