« on: March 12, 2010, 10:48:20 am »
Hello everyone.  New member from Melbourne here, and soon to be the proud adoptive parent of a brand new baby Thermomix.

Feels like we're adding a new member to the family  :D

The new baby should arrive Monday or Tuesday next week.

Can't wait.

Hi Merrilyn, welcome to the forum.  If you are excited now, wait until you have cooked a few meals  :D :D  The pleasure alone that this little baby brings us all is worth the money we paid for it - everything else is a bonus.

I say this often, and I am not selling Tm, but it is a necessity in the kitchen and as a working mother who has always believed in wholesome meals.. It has changed my life and I would never be without it.

Thankyou for the lovely welcome.

Wonderful forum you have here.  I can't wait to try some of the recipes.  It opens up a whole new world of cooking, doesn't it.

Oh the waiting! How awful it must be... But, at least it's not nine months!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well, Thermy arrived last night, and we have become instant buddies.  :-*

Oh what this guy can't do !  Made mashed potato - delicious - followed by beef stroganoff with steamed veggies in the Varoma, and ended with berry sorbet.  WOW  Need to play around a little bit with times, but everything is so quick, I'm even more impressed than I thought I would be.

Everyone came back for seconds.  DH even said "you can make that anytime, it was fabulous"  High praise indeed.

I'm at work today, so can't play with my new best friend, but tonight we have a date to make bread, icecream and veggie stock.

Roll on 5 o'clock  ;)
