You have to ask MM - I have no idea what they were going to be - he kept his cards very close to his chest.

With TMX in Australia, I received an email explaining that it wasn't happening for a while after I contacted them to find out when it would happen on Thursday.  Because i was keen to see the new one like all here.

My hope is that the hundreds of recipes that are apparently available in a database for consultants only will be made available to us plebs.

Also hope they will get a forum up and then encourage use of forums for owners.

would love to know where and what that is ... if it is the go getter recipes there isn't a huge number there ... and I haven't used them - too busy with the forum ones lol

faffa_70 - think it is the Go-Getters recipes and there must be more - I received 4 quince recipes from a consultant after sending her some info on quince paste.  They were all from consultants in official looking format

JD No, we are all friends....  the European sites have had forums for years and they are helpful to have interaction from HQ to keep better discussions on various matters.

Sorry, this will become a long post and I will copy to the review section, but received this from a consultant:

"Hi all…

With the feedback that we always receive from around the country, we have noted that the risotto recipe requires another tweak, back to cooking on Reverse + speed 1.5 – speed 2.
As we still have a few of the EDC books left, we would like you to bring this to the attention of your consultants and customers so that we avoid any issues that may occur when cooking the rice on speed soft until we adjust it in the EDC.

Speaking of the EDC, Grace and I have been talking about it since I started at Thermomix, and the time has come for a major facelift….not for me, though I wouldn’t mind, but for the book!

With that in mind, and with a little trepidation, we would like to have ALL your feedback about the Everyday book via email to me within the next 2 months. (End of May deadline).

Don’t fill my inbox all at once, but rest assured each of your suggestions will be flagged and addressed individually as we go through the book and together, make it better than ever before. It would be good to remember, (when you are dreaming up things for me to ‘fix’) that most kitchen appliances come with a little booklet with perhaps about 12 recipes in them and no after sales cooking classes or service such as we offer. We are the best at what we do in Australia, and so your patience and loyalty are much appreciated when troubleshooting with your customers and consultants.

Please continue to present solutions to your customers, and we look forward to in turn, offering you the best book yet!

From Tenina"

So, don't inundate her, but we will make sure she knows about what is here, if she doesn't already.

Sorry faffa_70 - that's why I am on about 12 different consultants' email lists and have contacted HQ with aliases to be able to get newsletters from 4 states  ;)  You need a good network with the communication from HQ - sorry, hope it improves.

Any tweaking of recipes done by HO to existing books is fine as long as we, the customers who purchased the machine and the books are notified of these changes.  If a car is recalled because of a problem all owners are notified, the same should apply to the TMX because I heard of machines 'blowing up' because of the original mushroom risotto recipe in the EDC.

Seizing up is probably a better word than blowing up - sorry to alarm you guys.  I think the problem was the quantity and soft speed was perhaps overload on the machine.  I find soft speed never works when I have a full bowl and always turn it up to at least speed 1, on reverse usually.

On the way out so will try and be quick.  I heard a machine was sent back and when the owner was asked what they were cooking at the time of the problem, they said the risotto.  No surprises with that answer apparently as it was not the first time. Was quite a while ago and I daresay nothing to worry about now with tweakings of that recipe.

All very interesting. Will he be Mr T (for those old enough to remember it) or will he be Inspector T?
