I used to worry about this a lot when I first started using my TMX. All of the TMX recipes times include that to get the ingredients up to heat but when it is only a small time (eg 1 minute or so), then if the ingredients are very cold (or your kitchen is cold) , you may not get to the required temperature in time.
In the end, I try to work out how important it is for it to get to the temperature. If I think it is important, then I set the machine for another minute (and try to remember to reset the temperature!) and keep an eye on it until it reaches the temperature at which point I switch it off, set the timer to zero and proceed to the next stage.
