Recipe Review - Thai Fusion Chicken Pataya, Pge 205 Indian cookbook

This is an excellent dish. I de-seeded the green chillies and the flavour/heat was just perfect for us. I used chicken thigh fillets cut into larger slices and although it goes against my grain to not use the TMX for the whole procedure, I did follow the recipe up to a point. After panfrying the chicken I added it back into the sauce (very runny) and cooked it for a further 10 minutes/90
o
/reverse/speed 1/MC off. I thickened it with 2 tblspns cornflour/water mixed in during the last minute, placed it in the thermosaver and steamed some basmati rice with vegies in the varoma dish on top. In this household it would make 6 serves and as part of an Indian buffet/banquet I would think it would do at least 8 people. Have frozen the leftovers, could come in handy if I decide to have a buffet one day.
5/5 from us.

I made this tonight. Very yummy! The three chillies made it a tad hot for us, I would perhaps use just two next time. I didn't use quite the 1t of salt, but I would reduce that next time too.
I would still give it 5/5 though, very quick and easy to make, too.

Did you de-seed the chillies CarolineJ? It makes all the difference to this recipe, the taste is there but the heat is removed.

Yes I did, Judy. I think they must have just been hot chillies. I got them at Coles, and their chillies are
usually
really tame...
