It's lovely. I often use chicken necks too as DH loves to 'pick the bones.'

Sounds like me - most people think there is nothing there - I must be desperate.

I saw some chokos in the market the other day Sarah and wondered what they could be used for. Is it a nice vegetable?

THANKYOU Judy!! I have had my TMX now for probably 3 and a bit weeks and this soup is the first time my husband has genuinely said he has liked anything I have made it. Normally he is always very complementary of my cooking so I have been becoming very discouraged. My eldest son also commented that it was yummy. So thankyou!

That's great news Shazzy, finally. I think it does take a while to get used to Thermomix food, I know I was like that myself. My Goulash soup is a nice thick soup, men love that one. Have you made the Butter Chicken from the Indian book (it is on the forum too) - DH would have to like that surely, the flavours are lovely. How about the sausage recipes - all men love sausages. Keep at it, you will win him over eventually.

Thanks Judy I will give the goulash soup a go. Yes tried the butter chicken and it was nice but as I said this is the first one he said he really liked and that I should make it again!

Keep feeding him Shazzy, it took my DD a while to say she liked quite a few things.

I made a very similar soup last week (maybe I should read on here more often, lol)
Chopped a clove of garlic, added a small onion and chopped, sauted, added carrot, celery, zucchini, 1 potato and chopped (just a few seconds, so still some good sized chunks). Added homemade chicken stock, chili flakes, parsley, coriander, soup mix, chicken (cooked shredded). cooked 40 mins, speed 1, reverse, 100 degrees.
Thought I'd post in case any of the ingredients I used appeal to anyone.
Was a real winner, so must try JD's version too soon.

Made this yesterday for lunch, and am enjoying leftovers for lunch again today
What a gorgeous soup! I used chicken thighs, diced finely and added with 10 minutes left to go. I also added a can of corn kernels at the end - just because the kids love corn - but they are really yummy in the soup.
Another 10/10 from me JD. Thanks!
