A new PM, what do you think?
« on: June 24, 2010, 03:38:12 am »
I was wondering what your thoughts were on our new Prime Minister? I'm not too sure to be honest. I must say I was getting sick of Mr Rudd and his speeches that I couldn't understand and of course I'm not happy about the mining tax. (DH and I have agreed to totally disagree on that as we have opposing views)
Perhaps a change is good.  What do you think?

Well Cookie I am with you, I just don't know what to think, then again I dislike politics (like really dislike!!!) and today my facebook page is just choka block with people expressing delight, disgust, views and arguments ... hence my dislike lol. Both my parents and DH's parents are very political (for opposing camps  :-)) :-))) and DH gets quite involved too ...

I also am not into politics, they are all as bad as each other in my opinion.  But, I have to say GO JULIA!  Time to see if a woman can do better.

lol Judy, my argument all morning has been that. Everyone is carrying on about wait until she has some credit, don't just crow because she is a woman, it is only going to be worse than what we have had. Well my response has been that no man has really done anything spectacular either!!! Like you I think they are all the same  :-))

All I can thnk of is all the stationery that will have to be shredded and replaced. Perhaps Julia could just cross Kev's name off and add her own? Ya think??????????????

If I could choose a Prime Minister I would say 'Gretchen for PM" - now, there's a lady who loves a soapbox  ;D ;D ;D :-* :-* :-*

Too funny Judy. Me thinks there are a few of us who love a soapbox.

Tell DH from me to try Spider Solitaire for a change. Good time wasting fun.

I have always thought that Julia Gillard's voice sounds like Kath from Kath and Kim.  So now that is all I think about if I hear her talk....I have no idea what she stands for (other than Labor that is!)

I agree, it's sooo ocker!

I've noticed she's said nothing about the proposed mining tax....
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I agree  baf65 elimination on Master chef is much more important.  ;D  I like all of them, they all have something to offer/give and are all trying to achieve their dream.  I will be sorry for whoever goes

DD tells me that she and I "go for love"
 ;) :D :D :D

Krudd while he claims he kept us out of recession he got us into a lot of debt and cost those poor people their lives and homes with the stuff up of that insulation thing. Personally I think they're all as bad as each other and don't trust any of them!  :-X
