Love this Forum
« on: June 24, 2010, 02:26:10 pm »
Hi everyone, my name is Helen and I'm new to the forum.  I purchased my thermomix back in April and am loving it.  I want to thank all the people on the forum for posting their great recipes.  I hopefully will be able to post some recipes too one day!  Still getting the hang of things and am going to try and convert my favourite boiled fruit cake recipe on the weekend.  I have already tried out quite a few of the recipes on the forum - especially lunch box ideas for the kids.  My youngest son LOVES the LTM bars and I make these almost every weekend!!!!  Thanks again.  Helen      :)

Hi HelenN, welcome - glad you are loving your tMX and the forum.  It is a great accessory to the machine and you will enjoy your time on here.  Look forward to your recipe postings.

Welcome Helen. I can understand your son loving the LTM bars.

Hi Helen,  welcome to the Forum.   Good luck with your converting. I did a boiled fruit cake with pineapple in it .  It works quite well,  so you might like to look at the method.   The only suggestion I would make is to watch how much liquid is in the mix as there is very little evaporation from the bowl while you are boiling the fruit etc.   Let us know how you go.  I am no good with the computer,  so can't put a link in.  I posted the recipe on the 28th. Nov 2009.

Thanks for the post - my boiled fruit cake has crushed pineapple too...   Just trying to convert now!  IF all goes okay will post the recipe!  It was handed down to me from my "second mum"!  Special recipe!!!!  Helen   ;)

Welcome  Helen! We look forward to your conversions..
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
