Varoma Demo Question
« on: July 13, 2010, 11:32:26 am »
My consultant is very keen for me to have a Varoma demo.  I have a couple of friends who I think would buy a machine if they saw the regular demo (they haven't seen the machine in action before).  My question for the consultants, or people who have had a Varoma demo, does it show off much of the functionality of the bowl and blades (hope that's the correct terminology), or is it almost all about steaming?  Is it as impressive as the regular demo?

Still shows off the versatility of the bowl and blades and is suitable for people who have never seen it in action before. You still do dishes etc that show exactly what the TMX can do on a day to day basis.

The most important thing is ... you know your guests and what is going to appeal to them more. Talk to your consultant about the menu and if you think a basic would appeal more, let her know that you would rather a basic at the moment for these particulaar guests and will hold a varoma demo later  ;)

So far I haven't been given the menu, just a list of ingredients to buy.  I've tried figuring it out from that but my detective skills aren't quite up to the challenge.   :D   I have tried to call a couple of times but haven't managed to get her yet.

I remember how wowed we all were at my first demo just by seeing the icing sugar made.  I wasn't sure if the Varoma would give those same sort of "wow" moments.  Given that my use of the Varoma so far has had very limited success  :P  I probably should have the Varoma demo just to get some ideas for myself.

Yeah - you still do the icing sugar.  :D
Not using the varoma much - that's exaclty why you should have the Varoma demo - to get the most out of you machine.
You'll love it and so will your friends.  ;)

Does your ingredient list fit this menu?

Strawberry fruity dream ice cream
Pizza
Capsicum & sundried tomato dip
Chickpea soup
Warm chicken & pumpkin salad with couscous
Steamed Cup cakes with Lemon sauce.

It sounds interesting enough - think that will WOW  :o :o :o :o :o  ;)

That looks like it.  Sounds good.  I think that should give them enough of a wow.

Thanks all.

If you are thinking of having a Varoma demo to qualify for the second bowl and blade set at greatly reduced price, you might be interested to read this blog:

I hosted a basic demo and went to a Varoma demo before I bought my TMX and honestly think the Varoma demo 'wowed' more, everything was so delicious and looked much more fancy than the basic demo items!

Yes, Cookie, but I thought it was relevant to add the blog link here as people often ask what is involved in a Varoma demo.  The actual blog was dated Feb 27 2011, but the menu items are still the same.

JAM, yes, people love the dishes featured, that's for sure.  The dishes hang together as a meal well in the Varoma demo too.

What does this all mean?
It is a bit cryptic if you are not in the Know.
