Can you order cookbooks directly/online?
« on: August 14, 2010, 12:28:25 pm »
I tried to order cookbooks when I ordered my thermomix but my distributor told me to start with the EDC.  I did, have and am over it already and would really like to get hold of more cookbooks.  She has said that the best way is to come to the cooking class but its 2 hours long and its at 6pm on a Sunday - I have young children and its totally inconvenient.  Is there an easier way??

Hi Janeeknits, welcome to the forum!
You should be able to order them through your consultant, just tell her which ones you want and she should be able to order them for you. The new meat on the menu cookbook is a winner and the indian cookbook is lovely also!  Happy cooking!

Hmm am not sure why she isn't willing to sell you the books straight up. Cooking classes are great but not in your case - too far away etc. You can order them from Head Office - you will have to pay freight on them unless you are in Perth, then you can go and pick them up  ;) ;) I would be contacting her again and telling her you want the books!!!

yeah thats strange your consultant told you to just stick with the EDC first hrrmmm

i contacted the head office directly and they were fantastic and you can order them directly from them :)  i think there is also a number to ring on the vorwerk website but i emailed as im overseas!!  Still they were very helpful and fantastic and sent me an order form by email

if your having hassles with yoru consultant id just contact head office directly!  I dont know how it works in oz but my consultant also prefers i host evenings for free books or go to classes but like you said with young kids its not always easy to find the time..just contact head office and they will help you out!

LOL - think a few consultants have been indoctrinated with the "You only need the EDC book to start" attitude.  Not sure why they think that!

I received an email from head office back in May 2008 when I had been using the machine for a while, had converted lots of recipes and wondered if HQ would consider setting up a forum to share ideas.

Has anybody seen the ANZ home loan advert with the unhelpful lady?  That was what it was like.

I was told that there were 300 odd recipes in the EDC & Seafood Bounty book & that I should just make up my own if that wasn't enough.

Thankfully they have progressed.

Anyone know the best way to get these cookbooks in the US?  I have tried to email my seller and I have received no reply.  I have also tried to contact the Vorwerk rep in Florida to no avail.  Where would be the best place for a US resident to buy the extra cookbooks?

Hvacigar you must have an american main website...id just contact them directly and some countries sell their old titles online.  Head office have been great help in my experience and dont know why it would be any différent in thé US!

Hope u find them :)

I suspect there isn't a TMX HQ in the US.

The UK Thermomix people are very helpful at supplying books and I think andiesenji, another US customer has used them.    The only downside in getting them from the UK is that you would have to pay postage.
