A Birthday Tribute...
« on: September 06, 2010, 10:28:14 pm »
Today is a very special birthday in our house.  I'm amazed at how life has changed since this noisy addition to our family.  He has inspired us, introduced us to many new friends, and created a new found passion in learning.

Even in his first year, he has more than pulled his weight, although his hard work is only in one area of the house (he is selective about what chores he will help with).  Like most new additions to the family, it took a short time for us all to adjust to living together, and we've had one or two disagreements.

Although he's very noisy and doesn't clean up after himself very well, we can't imagine life without him.  And a special big thank you to all the people who have supported our relationship early on as we learnt to work together.

Happy Birthday   :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* ;) ;) ;)

How lovely Cathy. You had me intrigued for  a few sentences. What a wonderful birthday to celebrate. Is he 1? His cousin/brother ???? that lives with us will be 2 in November.
Did you make him work on his birthday?

Oh der  :P :P - I was never very good at cryptic puzzles.  Good one Cathy, had me stumped.  I was going to ask for a photo but I think we all know what he looks like. Mine is coming up 2 years in October.

Yes, Thermie turned one today.  I couldn't celebrate today with him as it was a very long work day.  But over the weekend we made strawberry bread, egg pancakes, and last night whipped up zucchini fritters.

My mum's Thermie is about a month older than mine.  She suggested that perhaps we should swap so that they wear out equally as mine get's a very good workout!

Cathy,  I loved this.  The kids could sing Happy Birthday and have a ILB choc. cake. (our little 2 year old GS sang Happy Birthday on Sunday when the Fathers Day cake came out!!!)

My girls are the same with all cakes.  And any family dinners, we all have to say "cheers" and raise our glasses.

Oh dear... now I feel guilty I missed mine's birthday in July!  :-[

Happy Birthday to yours though Cathy!  ;D

DH would probably agree with that!  He'd probably be happy with half the attention that the "main man" gets  ;).

I do give him the occasional day off, but then make up for it over the weekend.
